General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Vox's first unarchived karaoke on right now.
The singing isn't remarkable in the slightest but he sounds like he's not really taking it too seriously anyways, just having fun.

Also alternative is my favorite indie singer, Maisaki Berry. She does karaokes often but her voice is always a delight.

EDIT: Too long. BLUF: Maybe market saturation isn't such a big deal.

As a vtuber fan, one thing that continually returns to mind is the shear quantity of material available. One vtuber puts out what, 9-12 hours of media a week? But there are hundreds of them, with more being added every day, and that's not even including vods.

No surprise then that whenever a new gen is announced, people bring up market saturation. It's just too much, people will get tired of it. But then I thought hey, maybe oversaturation isn't a disadvantage, maybe it's an advantage. The overwhelming quantity of vtuber material is the reason clipper channels got so big, it's basically a secondary business that pares down the hours-long streams into bitesize chunks for wider consumption. The clippers benefit from the vtubers' popularity while promoting them, so the vtuber market birthed a secondary market in a symbiotic relationship with it.

And since clippers are all independent fans who experiment with value-added contributions like translations, editing, and compilations, the whole thing fosters a culture of fan-created content. You get comics, video games, and animations, and the higher quality fan works end up being used by the vtubers themselves (Walfie, Kanauru, kowkarot, Kay, etc). So the secondary markets and community born from the original vtuber market feed back into that market to create even more content. I don't think all this would happen if vtubers didn't produce so much content that they created a demand for clippers.

This doesn't mean that people won't get sick of vtubers and take their clicks elsewhere at some point. I just mean that it seems there are advantages to producing a very large amount of content, and the vtuber sphere is showing that.

Towa's team finally won a scrim and all it took was for Towa to overrule Aqua's braindead decisions two times.

Aqua is a beast at taking fights but she's so prone to throwing the match it's actually crazy.
Aqua wants to actually have fun and play videogames.
But she's a semi-retarded onion so instead of playing a regular-ass first person shooter where she just gets to actually play the game for the entire match, instead of in 1 minute bursts every 10 minutes, she keeps booting up Apex.

I'm no master at Apex but I can see she's definitely great at the game... And also incredibly dumb.

I was watching a lot of the clips and couldn't help but always go "...why the fuck is she just kinda rushing off by herself without telling her teammates?"

I used to play CSGO a lot and one of my friends was Global Elite for like one day but couldn't ever get back to it because he just had the habit of doing things and then going "Why weren't you with me?!?!" which seems kinda like Aqua.

Apex is a very team-dependent game, because the time to kill is horrible, and the gimped semi-Titanfall movement lets people slink away incredibly easily while in a fight. Usually if you try to 1v3, unless you're fighting children with no arms, you're just gonna get ground down through attrition, because it's borderline impossible to delete someone in that game before they or their teammates can react.

So of course, the only types of people that ever play the game are either going to try and 1v3 every team they see because they just want to shoot people, but for some reason don't just play a regular shooter instead of a BR game. Or, you'll get fucking rat niggers who are scared of getting even close to a gunfight unless they know the other team is already fighting someone else, is hurt, and that they can't keep hiding because it's the last three teams.

Anyways, this is all a pretty longwinded way to say that I feel like Battle Royale games, especially Apex, are AIDS. They're not fun to play because playing them optimally means you avoid as much gameplay as possible, and they're not fun to watch, because there's so much downtime where nothing is happening at all. Also Respawn Entertainment are a bunch of niggers who still haven't fixed Titanfall 2, I hope EA fucking kills them.

There's really no emulating Vox. Sonny had the potential because he could have put his Voice Acting to use.
Sonny is (in my opinion) lowkey menhera, specifically he suffers from imposter syndrome. The moment he starts to think about what he's doing, he freezes up and can't do it.

His voice was lower as sketchek, he most comfortably acts characters that are deeper than his on-stream voice. Quite possibly because he's nervous a lot of the time. His chat thinks it's really cute or something. Presumably because he's actually fairly capable but doesn't act like it, similar to gap moe.

I personally do not like it. I think he has potential and he's slowly getting over his issues.

That's fucking hilarious, I thought they were done for since they kept getting shit results, but it turns out they were just being retarded? God damn, there's never a dull moment around here.

IMO he was understandably fairly shy in the beginnning (debut and first couple of stream), but when he found hot that it made mommy and red cross -type girls go wild he kept leaning on this softboy image more and more.
