I don't like lingerie commercials or women (or men (hahaha)) covered in latex on billboards either. Sex sells, but I've always thought of that tactic as being trashy. I'm no prude, but "straight kink" isn't good for kids either. We can have a problem with both. Or not, maybe I am a prude, but IMO obvious kink of any flavor in public at any time is super gross and tasteless.

Call me a prude, but I'd like less straight kink out in the open too. I don't know what is wrong with people that large populations and cultures can't handle nuance. It's either burqas or bikinis.

This is so correct and I never thought about it like that before. They look at puberty as purely one-dimensional "sex characteristics" because that's all they care about. They don't care that it's a whole-body change, and that the body includes the brain (I suppose saying "the body includes the brain" is considered TERF dogwhistle now).

I was reading a journal article the other day (on a subject unrelated to troon stuff) and there was a sentence that casually mentioned that although the brain has reached something like 90% of adult size by age six, there's also an important stage at puberty where the brain slowly remodels itself until it resembles an adult brain. This was just mentioned as an aside, like it was common knowledge (which it is). But we are supposed to forget all that now, just like we have to deliberately forget all of our scientific knowledge about mammalian sex being binary and immutable and easily predicted even before birth.

I was thinking... if someone suggested that we "pause" some aspect of childhood growth at age 2 via a blocker, and then start it up again at age 6, people would think that person was crazy, because all of these important growth and development stages would be missed and can't just be caught up. So why the FUCK is anyone pretending that it's different when the kid is 11?

Phallo is a multi step surgery. This is the first stage, once it heals they go back and basically carve it up to make it look like it has a head. Sometimes this is when they add the implant. Then after that, they get it medically tattooed. Basically using a trompe l'oeil to make it look like it has more texture & veins. If the aidens make it to this stage, they sorta pass in like 10ft away or maybe out of the corner of your eye in a gym shower. But not if you were close to it or touching it.

Most of them have an insane amount of complications from the first stage, they don't end up moving on because theyre constantly repairing fistulas and basically have a permanent catheter. If they do , they then have even more complications with the implant.

I read all the comments, there was one (maybe two) Troon who bitched about it. One other wasn't happy, but he wasn't actually offended, because he was actually capable of nuance and assumed the post wasn't about trans women/him - which is the sensible thing to do with a vent post.

That one Troon though was pretty awful, gave a full lecture about how it's her responsibility to cater to and center men at all times, and demanded that edit and an apology. Good lord, the entitlement! Of course the woman posted that fawning edit. What else could she do?

One woman did jump all over his ass for being a little bitch though. After OP added that edit Troon goes on to say he hopes this experience was a ~learning moment~ for her and next time she dares get uppity she better not recite the mantra! Someone rightly got unhappy about that, she apologized and edited the post, that should have been the end of things. The Troon disagreed, of course. Nothing super interesting in the thread, but it was nice to see someone stand up to that asshole.
