Stuff was kinda messy after the restaurant at the end of the universe bit anyways so I guess I wasn't expecting anything too profound by the end of it.
It always struck me as weird that he launched his career biting adams since I think Terry Pratchetts stuff is stylistically similar enough to scratch that itch. I guess if you are married to sci fi it wouldn't do much for you, but I always looked at Hitchhikers as a comedy with a sci fi setting

I apologize for having to retell another of these disturbing tales....but in the musty and humid summer of '09, Patrick S Tomlinson suddenly put a potato sack over me and threw me over his shoulder. I was playing in the neighborhood innocently when this happened and all I could hear while I was being carried down what sounded like cellar steps was "that's it, you cry! Your suffering only adds that extra bit of tang to the pepperoni!". I was 14 years old.

Does anyone know of any support groups I can reach out to?? This incident haunts me to this day.
