The thing is, if they want him to respond, all he has to do is not. They'll eventually shut up, desperate for some content, long enough he can deliver whatever one-liner he was saving up for a moment of silence. And then they'll chimp out boringly for several minutes about it.
People will remember the only remotely entertaining thing about it was the few lines Jim delivered.

For real, it feels like everyone who ever got ass blasted by the killstream back in the day are either happily irrelevant (Tonka), rebranding and rebuilding their careers (Mundane Matt), or in a very comfortable spot (Sargon). It's so fucking weird to think everyone involved with the Killstream except maybe Rekieta (his involvement was very minimal) and Jim (but he's fucking dying) has come out of those highs worse for wear. They are all probably sniggering happily at this turn of fate.
