I was thinking about Botan's 3rd Fes performance earlier, my personal favorite.

Anyway, it's interesting because Botan's performance was top-tier, but she's not really known for her singing or her dancing. Actually calling it a "dance" is a little misleading; she didn't really hop and prance around like the great dancers did (Korone, Kiara, etc). She was sort of... balletic?... in her motions; I don't really have the words for it.

The thing is, even though she didn't move around a whole lot, her movements all seemed very deliberate. You get the feeling watching it that every movement, every look, every gesture no matter how small was carefully chosen for maximum effect. The music and some evocative camera angles contributed to this too.

A lot of this also applies to Ina's performance, but while Ina's had what I'd call an "angelic" quality, Botan's had a quality that is more difficult to describe. A sort of intensity, it conveyed a sense of deep focus.

So yeah, if you haven't seen Botan's 3rd fes performance, do yourself a big favor and find it. It's something.

On another note, some folks have said that Pippa sang really well for some of the songs in her last karaoke. I missed it, are there any clips of the good songs out there? I know @Godzilla1984 made the entire stream available, but I always have trouble downloading those because of their size and I'm mainly interesting in maybe adding her good songs to my playlist.

I agree with you mate. I think the key difference between Ina and Botan's performance was the song. Botan's music has a better hook and climax that keeps hyping up itself until the very end. It make things more emotional even when you are emoting ever so slightly. Ina's song also has an emotional second phase but it's really just the chorus sang with more emotions with not a lot of change in the arrangement.

from Holofes I liked Mio, Korone, Aki, Suisei, Moona, Gura, Kiara, Risu, and Watame's performances. Sora's was great but never been into her singing style, too soft/idol-like when I want more powerful singing.

I know Aki has collab'd with guys before, although I don't know if she has with Holostars itself.
