So what's the takeaway from all of this? Nick and everyone affiliated with him are the delusional narcissistic losers and Nick himself a wispy limp-wristed grifter. Such a stunning revelation. Of all the people involved in this shit fest, I actually found myself feeling bad for Micheal. The kid embodies cringe but he seems good natured all things considered. My take away is they would be better of not engaging this guy. Nick's strategy of "Oh i've heard it all before [Psycho analysis of a tweet here] i flag people who make fun of me, i hate women, tell me somethong new" just made him look like a creepy seething homo. the best course was to make them engage in ways that shows how desperate unhinged idiotic and shitty they are and i think jim did that. the perfect example i think was baked kvetching about his priest being "doxed" to link that to swatting, jim knew if he said anything about any supporting point itd devolve into hours of baked screaming about how hes a satanic priest killer, instead he brought up baked macing innocent people to which baked had no answer. now does this really address the point in an intellectual good faith debate sense? no but jim wasnt going to be able to do that anyway unless he muted baked and it was a good parry optically and emotionally and also undermines his logic that hes the victim even if it didnt intellectually engage with bakeds attempt to smear jim as a murderer of priests and a christian baby blood drinker.

I have probably 10-15 or so guys I shoot the shit with online or play games with with some regularity and I generally would refer to most of them as friends offhand, but there are only 2 of them I would ever actually invite over to my house. Really no different from the guys I work with. I'm not sure there's a threshold for when you're placing "too much on what a friend is", some people just draw a finer line between "friends" and "acquaintances" than others.
