Patrick Sean Tomlinson / @stealthygeek / "Torque Wheeler" / @RealAutomanic / Kempesh / Padawan v2.5 - "Conservative" sci-fi author with TDS, armed "drunk with anger management issues" and terminated parental rights, actual tough guy, obese, paid Quasi, paid thousands to be repeatedly unbanned from Twitter

Also, sci fi is generally the purview of nerds. Nerds are low status individuals, and Leftism is the politics of low status individuals, so it's a natural fit in this hyper politicized age

How is leftism the politics of low status individuals? Hollywood, Colleges, Disney, Facebook, etc. seem to imply otherwise.

I'm just wondering how you reached that conclusion.

That mask is stretched to the snapping point by his massive pumpkin head, is that his real head or did someone Photoshop it?

He's very fat.

I enjoyed this person who kept calling him flaccid, making him defiantly bellow that he is not tweeting while flaccid; he is proudly ragetweeting from the fart couch with a very turgid dicklet, child.

Manatee? Patty Cakes used to love "fatshaming" people. Wonder what happened.

You ever notice how much more verbose he was back in the day? Now it's just all "wrong again, stalker" "I don't care, child."
He's really been ground down hasn't he?

I'd like to see the attendance for this year's Penguincon, as well as the attendance for Pat's panels. Would anyone happen to know where we could get this data?
600 according to staff on their FB group, a terrible turnout based on previous years:1650759211342.png

Remember a week ago they were begging attendees to book an extra room because they were 150 rooms (each accommodating 2 guests) x 2 nights short of their quota as per the contract with the hotel. They massively overestimated demand.

Vaccination and masking mandatory. Oopsie doodles.

Why on earth would he be doing a reading from the book he hasn't even finished yet? How does that make any sense? Nobody can be intrigued and go to his booth to buy it. This man knows nothing about marketing. If he's trying to sell books, he ought to be reading from one he's got available. This isn't even a scenario where he's teasing the next book in the series, so you can be intrigued by what you hear and then go back and read how it all starts out, and be caught up with the series by the time the new book comes out. Christmas Carnage isn't a sequel to anything he's got out - it's not even the same genre! People interested in hearing the rest of his story (rate me optimistic, I know) aren't going to see a bunch of spaceships and have that interest bleed over to his existing catalogue.

And the timeline for A Christmas Carnage's possible release is so vague and indeterminate that presenting it now is ludicrous. Everyone will have forgotten about it by the time it (theoretically) comes out. First, he's got to finish the book which, at the pace of - what's he up to? 20,000 words every four months? - not nearly fast enough, means he might have a book finished 16-32 months from now. It appears he's shopping it around to publishers now. Optimistically, he gets one, and it's still another year before it's ready to print. We're talking two and a half to four years before that book sees the light of day - if he even finishes it. And more realistically, if he finishes it, he's going to be faced with the prospect of self-publishing and I just don't believe he has the humility to go that route. He can't step down from the heady heights of being published through a traditional publishing house to doing it himself.

Let's be charitable and assume fat tits manages to generate some interest

"oh I loved that tiny tim story, Patrick! I want to know how it turns out!"
"I haven't decided that yet, child"

600 is absolutely shit attendance, especially if they were previously pulling 1000+. Wu Flu aside, that drastic of an attendance drop is imminently concerning, and would normally call for some immediate action from the entire staff. The con I worked for was pulling 15k+, and we had several emergency meetings one year when our pre-reg numbers seemingly dropped by 500. They're not providing satisfactory content to engage their attendees. They need to survey their attendee base, and get some data from the panels themselves on what works and what doesn't. Shit like this isn't necessarily hard, it just takes some patience and work.

It's worth noting Fatrick had just under 30 in the panel he posted the pic of earlier. I'd wager, based on the attendance numbers for the con, that was the beginning of the panel, not the end. Fat probably barely had half those people in there at the end, although Pierre could have slipped into a coma and no one would likely have noticed.

I wonder if not releasing a public schedule of panels and speakers would have impacted decisions to attend or not attend. Why drop money on this event if you don't know if the parts you're interested in happen when you're free or conflict with each other?

The insane coof restrictions were a huge part of it as well I'm sure. Not only do you alienate the people who would rather not go through all that gay shit, but the people who believe it's necessary also won't attend out of fear. Lots of offline events that aren't major trade shows are in dire straits because of the same issue.

Man, what kind of fat faggot with bitch tits would call birthday presents "prezzies" at age 42?
Most parents end up with their vocabularies influenced by their children. The most obvious one is when parents call each other Mom and Dad, but there's all sorts of childish words that an adult wouldn't ordinarily use but because they're around kids all the time it just affects how they speak now.

But Rick isn't a parent by any definition except biological. So you'd have to wonder where he's getting 'prezzies' from. The poor black children he grinds up in his basement? The troons having 'the girlhood I should have had' that he lusts after on Reddit? Watching a lot of Australian TV?
