The Times UK is really on a roll this week!
The lead letter is from two Doctors.
Excerpts:
/Ideology must never take precedence over the basic medical ethical principle of "Do no Harm".
Most children with gender dysphoria have other issues that need consideration as the main priority. At least 98 per cent of children who "consent" to take puberty blockers go on to have sex hormone treatment, causing irreversible changes. Many then have sex change surgery.
Conversely, more than 80 per cent of children with gender dysphoria who do not receive puberty blockers will become comfortable in due course with their biological sex.
However, as GP's, are we nevertheless obliged to affirm, refer and then prescribe puberty blockers?
What if we don't?/
Wish I had time to write it all out, it's beautifully based.
