If I were a public figure, some retard would write that I was clearly admiring his handsome muscles because I'm sexually attracted to him, and that I'm constantly staring at his manly arms while spotting him. That I feel vulnerable and weak, and he's accepting the role by giving me emotional support or some shit. Then afterwards we went to the shower at the same time, which clearly means we were fucking in the ass.

According to you, this would be yaoibaiting, because we were sweet (read: friendly and supportive) to each other, in a way that could possibly be misconstrued.

This is purely illustrative, but I'm serious that some of the so-called ship fodder is literally just trashtalking in a game. Anything can be yuribait in the eyes of a shipper. That's why overt, purposeful shipbaiting is treated different.

Pretty much all media is having this problem now days, shippers have ruined the ability for two characters/people (regardless of gender or sexual preference) to have a close bond or interaction without out at least a large minority of viewers to immediately assume its those two characters wanting to fuck.

That's why I said they would call each other waifu or something in that color. Aqua is pretty notorious about this as she would always jokingly ship herself with everyone that is remotely sweet to her except for Marine. Nobody calls Subaru and Okayu's friendship as YuriBaiting because everyone knows that is just female friends being sweet but you can't say that to Bae and Irys calling each other waifus or whenever Lamy fawns over Shishiron. Their fans know though that the "affection" is not real and that noone is actually daiting IRL. And really, who the fuck cares. Of course you will get retards who can't seem to separate kayfabe. Also, what you seem to be missing on your story is the fact that they are doing these in front of thousands of people. Can you honestly tell me Kronii wasn't baiting when she said they should check out each other clocks during the genderbend stream? It's already in the word - BAITING - it's just for the stream and to keep things entertaining whether you can't believe it or not.

I don't really have a problem with shippers who just sit in their own little room and no-life all the yuri fanart of members and not even tag them while posting because they do it for themselves and others who enjoy it, not for people on the picture to see. I even follow a lot of artists who just have their favorite ship and don't even draw anything else. But when they go full schizo mode and start sending SCs or shitting up twitter/forums acting as if their delusions are somehow real and not just entirely in their head, then it's an issue. Or act as if there is nothing else to them and they are inseparable and must always be together and shit.
edit - I don't think you in fact understand what baiting is. Did you never see girls setting their relationship status on FB in school as husband/wife and then having others as kids and whatnot when they are besties in a big group? Or openly complimenting the size of boobs and ass or how cute another girl's dress is? You really have to be one of those shippers who lost any sense of reality, if you think they are somehow baiting others into thinking they are lesbians, and not that it's pretty common for straight girls to act gay af towards each other because they themselves don't see anything weird about it since, you know, they are straight. Or the gym example from earlier, you never saw guys going "yo man, can I touch your byceps, holy fuck they are bigger than my head, and this six pack is like bricks" because, they are straight, so they don't think anything weird about it. Yuri sells to a certain degree but it is true that some fans will go rabid with their fantasies and shits up everything but as far as I can see, some ships are still alive because they don't really take things seriously and keep things fluff. Noel x Flare was bound to sink the moment they introduced the paired rings as people thought was some sort of engagement ring. You can't restrict yourself like that because people will assume stupid shit. Anyways, that's why I like the "business friends" storyline that Miko and Suisei have and the whole Divorced but still have feelings for each other Baerys have. Again. Let me repeat that many see them as just pairs that are playing the YuriBait for laughs and skits whenever they are streaming. Not real shit.

First of all, yes, they're doing their activities in front of thousands of people. This is because they are famous. It's kind of a prerequisite.

Secondly, you are conflating actual ship-baiting activities with imaginary ones. I do not doubt that, say, Miko x Haachama and Gura x Shion can be considered shipbaits. But let's look at what you said in your earlier post:

This is funny because you are separating my statements and twisting them. The whole sentence is actually "Yuri baiting can just be a pair of people being sweet in front of people and casually or jokingly calling the other person as their waifu. " Do you see the "and" between the two phrases??? You don't see anyone shipping Marine and Fubuki do you? They joke a lot right? why not them? That's because they don't joke or casually call each other each other's waifu or something that is relative to the word. Being sweet doesn't denote being romantic. You have to add the other factor of which is them actively pairing each other. And avoiding showing affection is a common trope called being a Stundere and that is excatly what I was referring in my statement. Chloe actively pursues Lui while Lui endlessly resists and would actively pair herself up with other girls. It's clearly a joke. And no I'm not a shipper. I only see shipping and yuri baiting as a tool that the girls use to liven up the stream. It's good content when not taken seriously and is clearly played up for jokes.

I'd say you're seriously underestimating how much the Sonny/Alban ship has been pushed, both by the livers themselves and their fanbase. It's almost fully taken over their art tags.
It's debatable how much of it is actually intentional fujobaiting and how much of it is just fujoshi misinterpreting male friendship for their own fantasies, but some of their interactions - like the whole onii-shota role-play thing - is definitely pretty out there.

jfc, you really are one of the people who unironically think that girl being tsundere means she is actually secretly in love and just too shy to admit it. No, 9 times out of 10 if a girl says she doesnt like you and has no romantic feeling towards you, she isnt a tsundere - she means it and will call cops if you try to do something to her.
