This live action Woggy looks even more pedo than Cherie's one.God that was wretched. I think Cherie's version is actually superior.
yeah ironically her Woggie manages to even keep out of the bottom three of depictions of the characterGod that was wretched. I think Cherie's version is actually superior.
Wow, I had no idea this existed. RiffTrax are usually pretty good at what they do. (There's this extremely shitty 1996 film called Fever Lake that is something of an in-joke between me and a family member, very obscure and boring with Corey Haim as the lead, they did a riff on the movie so naturally I laughed my ass off at it seeing someone else's jokes and input.) I'll have to watch the whole thing tonight.Press play, it should be cued up to the correct scene:
My very first encounter with the Woggle Bug in the wild! And it's in a film made by the madman and part-time softcore pornographer who filmed the Thumbelina insert in Santa and The Ice Cream Bunny!
this is my favorite punchline of the whole thingCynthia's version IS better
That one looks like a Batman villain.this is my favorite punchline of the whole thing
as much as her stuff is rough around the edges, it's still actually better than even instances of Woggie that were done directly under Baum's auspices
I'm really not fucking around when I say that plush toy of Woggie is probably the most charming the character has ever looked.
WHAT'S THIS!?!?!That one looks like a Batman villain.
Well Woggie, i hope you, as a homosexual, are feeling in excellent health!Press play, it should be cued up to the correct scene:

Holy Hexopods! That would be at least the second time Batman was menaced by a huge magnifying glass.WHAT'S THIS!?!?!
THE DYNAMIC DUO ABOUT TO BE THOROUGHLY EDUCATED ABOUT A HIGHLY MAGNIFIED HEAT RAY?
WILL THEY ESCAPE!?!
CAN THEY ESCAPE!?!?
TUNE IN NEXT TIME!
SAME BAT TIME!
SAME BAT CHANNEL!!
Stay calm, old chum... fortunately I have my trusty Bat-Anti-Uzi-Armor and Bat-Flame-Repellent-TightsHoly Hexopods!
Seventeen!I wonder what her feelings are on the Humbug from The Phantom Tollbooth. (Are you talking about the book or Chuck Jones version becuase Les Humbug is a hottie)
I actually like the trousers on this one...as much as her stuff is rough around the edges, it's still actually better than even instances of Woggie that were done directly under Baum's auspices
It looks like someone so obsessed with Wogglebug that they form this persona as his supervillain alter-ego. Unfortunately DC already has a character like this: the Mad Hatter. That one looks like a Batman villain.
To be fair, Hatter makes his minions dress up like Baum characters. It looks like someone so obsessed with Wogglebug that they form this persona as his supervillain alter-ego. Unfortunately DC already has a character like this: the Mad Hatter.
Marvel and DC rip eachother off all the time! Like how Deadshot got bootlegged into Deathstroke got bootlegged into Deadpool then bootlegged into the Grifter them parodied in Lobo and then bootlegged once more into... Something we all would like to forgetI actually like the trousers on this one...

This is really just testament to the fact that the character has always been an almost irrelevant presence in the Oz world, even to his author. So there really has been no need nor effort to flesh out the character in any adaptation. Cynthia in doing so (as much as she can) has made a character that's not even really the Wogglebug in the original sense, more like an OC based on existing work (insert Sonichu parallel reference here). That's not to mention the frankly insane insistence on the Wogglebug having a "destiny" to become a worldwide children's role model and a "hidden truth" of the totally amazing genius gentlebug he actually is, despite not being real.So we have a near total thread consensus, the majority actually prefer Cynthia's Wogglebug to most if not all other versions. Its still an unappealing and frankly monstrous character, but hers is the best of the lot. Somehow, I doubt we will get any credit for this from the creator.
It's a way to cope with a lack of religion. Filling that inate God shaped hole in her heart with a literal cockroach for her to worship. This is really just testament to the fact that the character has always been an almost irrelevant presence in the Oz world, even to his author. It can be done in an interesting way.So there really has been no need nor effort to flesh out the character in any adaptation.
