I don't even think Elon Musk will moderate Twitter. I guess that's where all these freakouts are coming into play.

Someone will have "moderate" twitter, which is wear I think Elon will stumble. Elon is apparently a big fan of reddit, so he may go the reddit route of moderating and just get some unpaid shmucks to do the janny work. Elon's true goal I think is for him to have a place where he can observe what people are doing from an algorithm and to push what ever products he has or purchases from other companies. Free speech will just be lip service and the status quo will return in a month.

Makes me wonder how things will go for the US midterms now that a consul of progressives don't control Twitter. 2022 is good timing....

Maybe not. The election season really starts to get serious after August/Labor Day, that's about four months from now. Subtract however long it takes for the deal to get finalized and Musk to gain actual, can fire people control, and that's not much time at all to change a corporate culture.
