My guess is he probably wants it to be safe for brands and celebrities, and turn it into a platform for advertising and corporate communication. (I mean it already is that, along with the furry porn.) He says he wants people using the site to be authenticated. My guess is that will eliminate a lot of trouble makers on the site, depending on the method he uses to authenticate people. (I'll probably lose my Twitter account, since I don't have any good reason to authenticate.) I expect the site will be much blander going forward. Probably a good thing if your goal is to make money and not put out political propaganda. Sure he'll lose a lot of users, but if he can increase the amount of people using Twitter who are responsive to advertising and spend money based on it, that'll be good for a for profit site.
