I just don't get the issue here. They're phasing out paper cups. If you know you're going to get a coffee at Starbucks, what's the harm in getting a travel mug and bringing that along?
Already they've had programs like that where you bring in your own mug and every 10th coffee is free or something. This isn't worth getting all broken up over. But no, Mushbrain needs to complain about something and get angy that a private company is doing something for the environment. Hell he'd lose his mind if his local supermarket started charging for plastic bags and your option was either bring in your reusable bags or pay a nickel for each plastic one you get.

Fatty has to make everything about politics, even if it's not political. Starbucks is reducing waste, but because they sit in the left side of the aisle their the bad guys. Jack's quick to defend the guy who makes electric cars though.

I don't even get the conspiracy theory. Let's take his claim at face value, they're getting rid of disposable cups purely for profit at the inconvenience of the customer. So fucking what? It's not like big chains don't constantly undercut the customer as is this is nothing new. Stop going to Starbucks if this is such a big deal. Or just bring a fucking cup it's not that hard either way.

While I question how environmentally friendly some of these initiatives actually are I do not think it is some grand conspiracy to fuck with Jack. Do not get me wrong that would be hilarious but it seems a bit unlikely.

I would imagine refillable cups saves/makes them money. You go in and buy a reusable container from them because you see an incentive, and then they also don't have to give you a disposable cup every other time. Plus you get to say you're reducing waste in your marketing. Pretty good idea. As long as they don't start charging more than before for drinks with disposable cups I have no idea why anyone would get mad. Jack's just looking for things to be upset at because it's easier for him to focus on trivial little things rather than his own life hanging on by a thread because of his own poor choices.
