𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

Without a board or shareholders to answer too Musk can just shut Twitter off in countries to comply with their laws.
My main objection to much of Western European authoritarian internet regulation policy is that instead of being honest and constructing a Great Firewall like China does or fucking with DNS and registrars like Russia, they just expect the companies abroad to do it all for them so they don't have to get their hands dirty. It also shows they don't understand how the internet even works. If I have a web server in the US your commie GDPR shit isn't my problem unless I setup a business in the EU, your problem is blocking requests from your citizens if you don't want them to be able to connect to foreign servers. Imagine if back in the day East Germany said it was the West's problem and they needed to help them stop people escaping, if you are going to do authoritarianism you have to do it right.

I believe that the "value" (such as it is) in Twitter lies precisely in that it's controlled by the people who holds the reins of "The Cathedral" — you'll soon see an alternative to Twitter spring forth with the "correct" kind of backing, which will be totally organically loved by "journalists" and influencers all over the world. Given that the actual purpose of Twitter is outplayed the moment another person takes control of the narrative, the function of Twitter becomes obsolete, since no real person of any importance and meaning in the world gives a shit what transpires on that cesspit of a website. As such, I cannot understand Musk's decision to shit out 44 billion (!) fucking dollars to take over a platform of which the entire point is that people who value non-leftist propaganda is excluded from. The typical leftist retard will just migrate to wherever else the powers that be sets up shop next, and I have a hard time believing that Twitter will make sensible people turn around and start using the website again, given that they should have wisened up to the fact that the entire format of 280 characters is dumb as shit to begin with by now.

I like Musk making leftists seeth and dilate for reasons they themselves don't understand, and so I would hate to see him lose out on several billions of dollars on a nonsensical purchase. I just wonder how he will recoup the cost?
Unless twitter is outright deplatformed it will be the choice of important people to give their quick takes. If any new twitter clones owned by the “right” people pop up they might pay some people to post there, but twitter will always be #1.

Honest question, does anyone really give a shit about The Metaverse?

Like, the people who might be interested in it are probably FAR too invested in Second Life of all fucking things to jump…

I suspect the Metaverse is one of those long term commitments to a new paradigm that Zuckerberg would like to be at the forefront of… again. It’s like when color televisions came out, no one had color television sets right away to utilize it, but at some point, someone needs to commit to the process and make some color tv shows, even if there won’t be returns on it for many years until the technology becomes affordable and accessible to Joe Paycheck and the common man.
But to answer your question more directly, no; no one gives a shit about Metaverse. And if it suddenly becomes a virtual haven for trannies, you can bet no one ever will either.

Has this idiot ever been right about anything? lol

Tim Wise is a professional "anti-racism activist" - in other words, his career comes from maintaining that "white supremacy" is a meaningful problem that totally exists and has to be dealt with, but if it ever somehow was he would be out of a job. So of course, it never will be.

There's no point in listening to professional grifters like him because their life is so heavily bound up in pushing a specific narrative. Someone like Ray Comfort or Ken Ham isn't going to come out of the woodwork one day and say "look, after doing more research I've realised that evolution is real and the Earth is more than a few thousand years old, please ignore everything I've ever said", are they? Tim Wise will never change his tune for the same reason. If you're looking for an unbiased answer about problems related to race relations he is literally one of the last people on Earth you should ask.

As Upton Sinclair once said, "it is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it".
he's a kike and his grift pissed of black twitter a long time ago.
Goyim, I...
Well, lookie here...

Answer: Block buttons exist, people with paper thin skin are very good at spamming them 👍
Imagine if Elon walks into the office and then says "Ok people listen up! To increase communication we don't need the block button. Delete all blocks. I bet some lolcows would shake in their boots

No. Few people have much interest in clamping goggles to their heads like fucking gullible jackasses.

Almost all the EU tech companies are quite old school, Nokia, Ericsson, Siemens, et al.

They did create SAP, so there's that.
That was all before the EU existed. The EU kills innovation.
