𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

Oh no, Twitter is going to turn into Kiwi Farms!

This is exactly the sort of person you want to lock in a closet and beat with a golf club until the stupid stops flowing out: "Oh no! Elon Musk controls my safe place.!!11!11!!! This is worse than Hitler killing a gorrilon-zillion jews!"

That first one's a joke.

The rest are jokes, but for other reasons. Twitter already acts as one side's Kiwifarms. We had "journalists" spread the stolen personal information of people who donated to the Canadian trucker's protest. I'm not even talking about people who donated loads of cash or were public figures, either. Nobodies who chipped in $50 were targeted.

I wonder if Twitter locking down shit because of Musk means that ex-Twitter employee who doxed LibsofTiktok will lose his access. The consensus was that he was violating their API's terms of service, but he was one of them and has German government money.

I'd like to see people to stop taking the internet so seriously. There's so many people on platforms like twitter, a few I'd probably agree with and a few I'd find absolutely horrendous in every way. Both have in common that their opinion, at the end of the day, matters jack-shit for what happens in my life. Seriously, most of these people probably don't even go vote. And if they do, probably not in the country I live in. Why would I spend hours reading their opinion, foaming at my mouth and then get into dumb text slap flights with them for hours that will change absolutely nothing? I never understood that.

I honestly probably don't even agree or identify with most political stances or opinions on this very forum and I genuinely think some posters here are dumb sacks of shit but I like the capability to co-exist and speak my mind without getting policed or censored in some way. I actually also think this kind of free speech is the only way to ultimatively counter extremism of any shape. I don't want to write a book now on why I think that so just trust me on that one.

Yet there's so much butt-hurt and ass-madness. Oh the ass-madness. I personally think Musk is a sociopath (you do not collect that kind of money being a nice guy) but this is kinda funny and might shake this insane place the internet has in society up a little. I sure hope so.

What's probably more likely is legislative bodies getting involved and the whole thing getting even dumber and gayer than it already was. Well it'll be interesting either way.

Ted wants to force you to live like an Amish nigger. Sorry man but it ain't 1599 anymore
>Implying I don't want to live like an Amish nigger:cunningpepe:

In all seriousness, while Ted got a lot of things right and I agree with him on most of his points, his answer to the problem is completely histrionic and absurd. You don't fix a problem by destroying it. You have to learn to work with at least some of what you're given.

What does that even mean?
The tweet was something along the lines of "bell curves prove that isn't true" when a black man was arguing that all races/individual people have the potential to have the same IQ and even gain IQ as they age if they study. It was low effort, but enough.

edit: if you mean the "back" bit, that was a typo because I changed my sentence up

I'll concede that I've not been the world's biggest fan of Musk. I didn't like how he seemingly acted reckless with Tesla stock and crypto currencies. He seemed as much a troll as innovative CEO, despite his very real accomplishments.

While I can safely say I do not have a man-crush now, I have to admit that this was an act of heroism on his part. He may very well lose billions on this scheme, but the greater good prevails.

This will go down as a turning point. The left has been very smug, despite the profoundly unpopular administration in DC (which is more unpopular than Trump's or anyone's since they started measuring it with Truman). Why such complacency? Because of a lot of reasons, not least of which was the complete lock they had on the top five social media. In the rare instances where the media doesn't do its job and bury news that puts the left in a bad light, the left could count on social media to bury it and ban those responsible for it.

Twitter is ranked only 4th among the Big Five of social media (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok), but its influence is outsized; in many regards it is the most critical social media platform in terms of affecting policy.

Musk has singlehandedly blown a hole in the wall big enough to drive a tank through. Suddenly, the left's lock on social media looks a lot more tenuous than it did two weeks ago.

And the left has nobody to blame but itself for this mess it is in now (although they will literally blame everybody else)

Coming on the heels of the rebuke to Disney, April 2022 may stand as the moment Woke America reached its zenith. The decline and fall usually follows such high points.

It might have eventually happened without Musk, but time was not on the non-woke side, and Musk achieved in a few days what it might have taken years for lesser mortals to accomplish.

Watching the left's collective head explode has been hilarious. Any other non-woke multi-billionaires out there who can get a few jobs done for the hoi polloi?

Musk is still as much a troll as anything or anyone else, but I'm gladdened to see that he puts his money where his trolling is.
