That's why for the past year I've been saying Phil mainly has fans in denial, and only a few actual trolls or detractors.

I don’t know if you can even classify the people here as “trolls”, or 90% at least.
We’re all “detractors” because in Phil’s warped mind anyone who doesn’t kiss the ground he walks on is a detractor.
But for me the definition of a troll is someone who’s actively trying to piss people off. No one here is actively fucking with Phil. If there were I’d wholeheartedly hope they’d be talking about it here, but for the most part this thread is just reacting to Phil.
I’ve said it before but the only reason Phil talks about Kiwifarms is because he’s run out of antagonists in his life. He needs SOMEONE to blame his empty life on and we’re all he’s got. So the fact that’s he has to bring up people who are just documenting him is just a statement on his own victim complex.
But yeah, we do take the “no trolling PLANS” but too seriously around here I feel.
My take is that Phil just isn’t worth the effort. Ever since he got kicked off Machinima he’s a total internet nobody, and the internet’s all he has. That’s what I think at least.

Phil thinks Wings needs to ask for his permission if he does a react video on DSP....even though thats not DSPs video to begin with lol. He is so full of himself, its like watching a grandfather install FB for the first time. He has no clue how fair use works and that people dont ask content creators if they can do a reaction video on them.

I think Dave might have alzheimer's since Wings obviously didn't ask to do that "illegal restream" when Dave was doing the video and Dave had hardly any reaction when chat told him he was doing it.

This is correct, the amount of the Super Thanks is not included in the actual comment so using a comment finder will not be effective for locating them.

Yeah this has been a thing since Machinima gave him the boot. Want to start by stating I don't know much about Youtube and copyright strikes, especially whatever the rules were in 2015, but if you want to look for the nugget of truth in the bullshit pile what I think happened was Phil contacted Machinima and they told him he'd have to wait it out, he told them that is unacceptable, so they said "if you delete the videos the strikes go away but you'll lose...hello, Phil you still there?"

Phil has the strangest perspective on law i have every seen. Illegal retsreams that are illegal and Tevin needs to go to jail, slanderous libel posted as fact when it is literally clips of him telling people to go fuck themselves, and this autismo you, yes you, need permission and contracts signed from the maker of the video and the person it is a about. I personally think this bout of autism from Phil is to help his LARP that he is super mature and professional but he might actually be this deluded.

I don't think there's currently a "natural" way to search for superthanks or ♥ posts, but then again I'm not an expert on YT's API and maybe there's an exploit I don't know about (and there is, but for other stuff).

What someone could do if they were really that interested, if superthanks can only be made at the time of posting which I don't know (so no editing in), one could scrape all messages in DSPGaming day by day like what people do with superchats / subscriptions, and get all new comments.
I believe the API does retrieve all new ones when the searchTerms parameter is empty.
Example of recent comment retrieved by API (that happens to be superthanks):


Then if you know what you're doing, you can set up a bot that checks if any of those scraped comments you got have the superthanks <div>.

This is major pain, and believe it or not I just checked, there's people commenting in very old DSP videos.

That would just add to the bulk you'd have to scrape every day.

Worth a try, I wouldn't be surprised if nobody ever bothers reporting him because they think nothing will happen, like some weird version of the bystander effect. The only time recently that I've seen detractors deciding to report him was the Xbox ahnbahksing video where he left Ninstarrune's dox on the video, that one got removed in less than a day for breaking community guidelines.

If you're going to report it, at least add a proper reference to how it breaks TOS:

I wonder if YouTube has an algorithm to determine the optimal number of reports needed to be considered for review by admins, but not enough that it appears to be a mass flagging operation - like a sweet spot.

Even with next to no tips, residuals alone from 70K+ videos would net him some $30K a year if I'm not mistaken; you would need to kill his YouTube channel completely to really threaten him. Hence, while he will never be truly homeless, watching him have to give up his gin, DoorDash and gacha addictions will be a salt goldmine and I can't fucking wait.

The thing that would kill him would be if his Youtube channel gets shut down. That would take his entire income (well except the pittance on his Patreon) And then he would either have to crawl back to Twitch get on his hooves and suck tranny cock to get his partnership back (hey I heard they have a deer in their crew. He is already used to a horse so why not) or he would have to get a job (HA!). Yes it can be infuriating how one person can live by just being lazy but on the other hand that goes for a lot of people. Phil is just a very public lolcow at this particular life style. Let's just watch him be like Icarus flying to close to the sun as I feel we have been here before several times. Just like with Machinima, with Curse, with Twitch. Every time he gets punched down by his own stupidity. So let's just wait and watch.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Phil would be dead or living off a disability scam having long since washed out of the gaming scene if it wasn't for us. Phil likes to portray us as this massive force he has to overcome when in truth we made him. We're his marketing team. His greatest accomplice. We draw in casual paypigs by relaying all the times he wigs out and the drama paypigs through the narrative of the 'war' between us and him. But its even deeper than this. We know him far better than anyone else on the planet including and especially his fake WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIFF. In turn he probably spends much more time thinking of us than anyone else, again more than even his WAIIIF or the atms that are his paypigs. His life is consumed thinking about us. We're the closest thing to friends he has. Without us, not only does the money dry up but he loses a critical part of what he uses to define himself.

For my part I've long since ceased to care either way whether phil 'fails' or not whatever that means. Living in a box shaking a tin cup completely due to his own actions or still on the goutcouch shaking the virtual tin cup playing games he hates theres plenty of lulz either way. You'd probably be institutionalized by now waiting for over a decade and counting for the paypigs to get tired.

There is a lot to unpack here. You ignore the fact that Phil has a victim complex. If the trolls did not exist once his machinma money dried up he would have just created another boogieman to rail against. He would have used what ever is close to scam his dent heads out of money.

The trolls were just a convenient target. If he did not have the trolls he would have just ramped up blaming YouTube or Twitch depending on which one he was streaming at the time.

Phil makes money because losers on the internet see themselves in Phil. They develop this idea of if Phil's doing good on streams that means I must be doing good in life. It also flips and if Phil is going bad they realize they are doing bad so the pump money into streams to make both of them feel better.

It's hard to say if trolls make him more money but the talk around Phil is enough to keep most casual non tards far far away from his streams.

Only the absolute bottom of dents get caught by Phil's money pit now. Look at planet dead wife or OIFaggot prime examples of Phil scraping the bottom of the barrel with 40 year old dudes that are angry and what Phil's life but can't have it so they pay Phil to do it for them.

I have never had an urge to troll or report Phil, mainly due to the two facts that I enjoy the shitshow and will be lazy as fuck about finding him elsewhere if off Twitch and YouTube. I will however reconsider if he becomes a down the rabbit hole channel. That sounds beyond awful.
