Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

Again, you conservatives are only mad about that NOW? You were the ones who cheered when the Citizens United case enabled shit like this.
Who? I'm not a conservative. You're doing the same thing as that other dude. No nuance, only groupthink. Corporations aren't people. Corporatocracy and fiat currency is trash.
Do you apply this to right wing or anti government orgs?
Yes
One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong...
I voted for the guy who ran as an independent, changed to democrat, and then republican on the platform of disrupting uniparty political theater. It's not partisan. I voted for Ron Paul before that. Cause muh gold backed currency and shooty gun freedom liberties.
Kinda like Republicans who go in against Trump? That kind of force people to lose their livelihood if not get full on arrested like they want to do to Georgia's GOP governor?
They're mad because they believe voter fraud happened and Kemp didn't do nuffin.

You and your lot are no better than HHH. In every single way.
I think doubting is better than blind faith in man's scientific, industrial efforts.
Believing FDA/NIH/Pfizer/Moderna/etc. is worthless to me. But if you believe them, i have some olestra chips and vioxx to sell you.

Again, you conservatives
Leftists projecting their own NPC collectivist groupthink on everyone else, must be a day the earth rotates.

I'll let you know when I've retired my frontal lobe and rerouted all of my decisions to my amygdala like a munchie covid loon obsessed with a cold or some old businessman's dick.

You want to have some nuance? We can have that, just that a lot of others here don't, so I go with the broad brush by default.

...that makes it better?
I think doubting is better than blind faith in man's scientific, industrial efforts.
Not when you then turn around and have blind faith in anyone who goes against man's scientific industrial efforts.
Believing FDA/NIH/Pfizer/Moderna/etc. is worthless to me. But if you believe them, i have some olestra chips and vioxx to sell you.
And if you believe Alex Jones and TV preachers I have some oregano oil, colloidal silver and anointed prayer water to sell you.

Nuance is good, because the truth is nuanced.
...that makes it better?
it makes what better, thats how they feel, thats what they think.
Not when you then turn around and have blind faith in anyone who goes against man's scientific industrial efforts.
faith is not a part of the scientific method.
and if you believe Alex Jones and TV preachers I have some oregano oil, colloidal silver and anointed prayer water to sell you.
Who said i believe in anything they say either?
if Alex Jones provides evidence and proof for his claims I'll consider them. If I need god I'll go to church.
Is there a problem with not believing someone's claims when they want to mandate something based on those claims?
Most problems in culture exist because people just think everyone needs to do what they do, or do what they say without any debate.
I leave everyone to their own devices and their own decisions and I have my opinion. It's funny though that people who are super pro-covidvax are so dismissive, and hate doubters.

Indeed, but it cuts both ways. Anyway, you want to go the nuanced route with this...

I only got the vaxx based on the advice of my doctor whom I trust, and likewise, I'm not getting the booster on similar advice that getting it will just monkey with my antibodies since I already got a dose of Omikron The Nomad Soul. Yet somehow, she's still practicing, and hasn't been fired despite doing that. Go figure.

I don't blame people for being distrustful. If you don't want to get the vax, your body, your risk, Godspeed. I'm against mandates also, though more because it has the opposite effect of getting people inoculated and the impracticality of enforcement. I DO blame people and call them retards if they spout shit like "It causes teh awtism!" "It causes AIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDS" and "You'll be dead in a year!" or go with the usual "Muh Globohomo" category of right wing drivel.

if you're against mandates, and you are honest about your reasoning, why would I have a problem with your opinion. At that point, we're just debating if what they said is true, or what the actual effects are. I personally think it does more harm than good, but then again it could be saline for all I know.
Anything that can be put in your body that you can't sue for if it goes wrong is immediately suspicious.

Corporations have some of the same legal rights as individuals because they are free associations of individuals and restricting their associated behavior would also restrict individual behavior in ways that the common law and various constitutions frown on

This thread lasted longer than covid itself, holy shit. Covid Derangement Syndrome is a hell of a drug, especially when combined with low-grade schizophrenia and years of sexual frustration.
Covid's still out there, sport. Just because something isn't headline news much doesn't mean it vanished into the aether.

In that case you should probably get a 2nd booster and wear a full respirator whenever you go outside to keep everyone safe. Don't bother washing your hands though, that's Russian disinfo.

I didn't even get a first booster. Doctor said not to, and I trust her.
and wear a full respirator whenever you go outside to keep everyone safe.
Nah. I don't think I will.

Job requires me to do it frequently given the chemicals I have to handle, so I'm already ahead of the curve on that one.

Not gonna lie, he had me until the last paragraph.

Anyway, it's basically been a full year since I posted here. Still haven't gotten the vaccine, though now it's to spite those telling me to do so instead of cautious skepticism.

EDIT: holy fuck it only took a minute to get my free hat. Is Secret Retard a bot or something?

It was mandated for my job. All my coworkers cucked out. I asked for both medical and religious exemptions, and got approved. My coworkers hate me for it lol. And, since I'm exempt, I'd imagine if they try and push the boosters harder it would get mandated here as well and they would need more kike juice to keep their jobs.

I wasn't swaying with my decision. I was going to take the firing if need be. I already had what I assume to be Covid last summer and it felt like a normal flu. I didn't even seek treatment. Wasn't anything to be terrified about. It just lingered for two weeks which was annoying.

Now that some time has passed, we can start gathering some useful data.

Boosted test subjects, how many times have you had covid so far?

Never got the vaccine, never got COVID.

My secret? Vodka, tonic water, orange juice and just using the masks and washing my hands.

Anyone who got the vaccine is a cuck to me, who gave into fear and believed talking heads on the media telling them if they didn't get vaccinated they will die.

Had initial two shots on recommendation of doctor, no issues aside from about 32 hours of fatigue. Caught Nomad Soul, head swelling was a bitch, but made it through. Same doc said boosters would be pointless after having my dose of it.

So. Yea, boring personal story.
