MCU Television and Animation Series on Disney + - WandaVision, FATWS, Loki, etc

I liked the lore presented in it but the plot of it is pretty dumb. Harrow's defense for being in Egypt is just "lol i'm just hangin out in the desert" which isn't probed into; there's also nothing brought up about the gigantic worldwide cult he has nor the various powers and artifacts he possesses. It made Knoshu and Marc look like they have a collective IQ of 1.
Ok Fair point also I feel the trial should have taken a little longer.

Sheer momentum and affection for the comics character carried me through the first two episodes. It's failed to hook me and whilst I started the third episode, I kept skipping ahead. Saw the meeting scene. Agreed it was an interesting idea but dumb in execution. If Khonsu is a god then they really need to up the entry requirements.

Saw the hint of a third personality in Mark/Stephen's head - don't know who that would be as can't remember from the comics. The show's not working for me though. I'm finding it dull and the main character an idiot (both of him).

Related; saw Morbius the other evening. Absolutely dire. One or two stars I'd rate it. 100% formulaic. Like, to an amazing degree.

My friend told me that it was like an intern found a Jared Leto movie they filmed in 2002 in a pile of garbage that everyone forgot about and brought it to Sony's attention.

Marc's third personality is probably Jake Lockley, an identity originally created as a cabbie to collect info on the streets. Given that the Steven Grant identity is nearly the complete opposite of what it originally was in the comics (playboy billionaire) I'm kinda curious to see what they twist Lockley into.

There's also the gay guy they only alluded to in the first episode. Oscar is doing a good job but something just feels......off.

Ugh Gaspard's episode tho 😭
I still can't believe he is gone

It doesn't even rise to the level of mediocre. It's more enjoyable to see Sony still desperately trying to claw together some kind of cinematic universe out of the Z-listers they have at their disposal. Four Avengers films too late and about a billion dollars short, you fucking retards.

It makes me wish they would have went through with the Silver Sable movie, or even better, a Hammerhead movie.

Throw Tombstone or The Spot in to complete the trifecta of "Spider-Man mooks nobody really thinks about"

I forgot I was watching a marvel series during Moon Knight.
i have no idea how episode 5 was allowed to air

Now I hope they don't fuck it up before it ends.

Isn't the next episode the finale? I feel like they have a bit too much to wrap up well in one episode.
It's going to be the shortest one too at like 42 minutes (the previous shortest episode was episode 1 at 47 minutes). They've said it ends on a high note so I guess we'll have to see.

Finale wasn't great but not really awful.
- Marc and Steven being considered separate people in the after life yet apparently not Jake (undoubtedly done to preserve the end credit twist) felt like really dumb writing.
- "You were my super power, Steven." was a really stupid line. Yeah, having a debilitating mental illness certainly is a super power.
- Layla suddenly becoming an Avatar felt really lazy.
- "ARE YOU AN EGYPTIAN SUPER HERO!?" was cringe. Surprised she didn't correct the kid with "No, SUPER HEROINE!"
- What was up with that final imaginary asylum scene? It felt completely randomly placed. Seemed like it should've been placed between Marc & Steven escaping through the afterlife gate but before they awake in the real world.
- The final showdown was just sorta boring.
- What became of the global cult Harrow made?
- This is the MCU -- where's the interconnectivity with... anything else? No mention of any other 'gods', no heroes or organizations investigating all the weird shit going on; even the Netflix shows occasionally had a reference to the larger universe.

Overall it felt rushed. The first five episodes felt like a good first half of a season... but then everything gets concluded in episode six. Oscar Isaac really elevates and carries the show, though Ethan Hawke was also really good and I liked that Harrow was ready and wiling to live and die by his own rules, he was probably one of the best MCU villains so far. Lastly, the reveal of Jake makes me wonder if he really did kill Randall that day.

I'd probably rank the Disney+ stuff so far as:
Hawkeye
Moon Knight
Loki
WandaVision
FatWS

Still haven't seen What If, though I guess I should watch a few key episodes before seeing Doctor Strange.
