Dobson was always bothered about Highschool Drama a decade and more after Highschool. He never let things go. He had a list of people that wronged him on a forum that he kept for more than a decade.

When you're that petty, your life won't be pleasant, easy as that.

I would say dobson’s style is a worse sin than his drawing skills.

He could at least draw better than Chris-Chan and do something acceptable by deviantart‘s very low standards (Still sad considering he is supposed to be a pro).

Yet, his style was somehow able to combine the worst parts of cartoons, and anime to create a horrible abomination.

It's ironic, he needed his ego filled and praise so he bragged about college like anyone cared and it made it a bigger joke. Had he not talked about it he'd probably get way more ass pats as trying and doing so much with out formal training.

It's always ironic and funny when your ego shoots your ego to boost your ego. Some kinda inception ass pat murder.

Technically he is self taught, since he taught himself in school, and then after leaving college he "unlearned" everything that he was taught because he genuinely believed his work was worse. At that point, you might as well not tell anyone you went to college, but he needed a way to own the haters.

Neither show looks that bad. I say this because not once do I see people's eyebrows flying off of their heads, or adding 50 wrinkles to every character's face that would make them all look like senior citizens.

If Dobson was more pleasant in his demeanour, his flaws could easily be overlooked. As much as I hate to admit it, his work does have a certain charm to it.
But because he seems unreasonably pissed off at just about everybody and takes criticism like a big dumb baby, just about everyone knew what buttons to push with him and took full advantage of it.

Really, it's him being an insufferable SJW with no self-awareness of his own hypocrisies that annoy people about him.

It’s because when he was drawing his “knock-off Rumiko Takahashi” style, he drew the roommate looking very “stereotypical Japanese nerd”, to put it nicely.

He also based a sidekick character in Percy Phillips on his roommate, who also looked kinda….well, take a look:
