Mate, I remember you could see it hurt him when he started begging. Back when he wobbled on stream wearing his black tshirt, looked at the camera and asked for money. However with time it's like whatever. Begging has gotten so common for him, it's part of a routine.
And I can't really blame him because it works. He has always gotten what he asked for, never has he had to give up something he wanted. Following his income has just showed he makes more and more. Which is even worse.

I will never understand what people gain from it, and I don't know any other lolcow in such a position. I would somewhat understand it if he was a hot bird with a nice rack, but he's an old fat and balding bloke with no personality.
Overton window. Considering that he always got a ton of money when he did emergency streams it's funny how long it took to implement it as a daily routine. Can't say it's surprising though, any idea good or bad is put in place comically late.

He MUST know by now how pathetic these sound. Like I get that it's his whale call, specifically targeted at his most loyal dent heads - but more and more often he's basically advertising to the world how shit his content is and how shameless he is about begging.
He's fully aware. There was a time there people would tell him to do it and he was reluctant to be mocked for tweeting. He said that there was no need to tweet - he streams at consistent times and if people want to come by to help, they will.

I think that the night streams significantly slowing for contributions had him panicking a little, and he concluded he needed to resort to it again. Now, as others have said, he's just become desensitized. He's fully aware that he can 'train' his audience - he just did it for the second time with the post-prestream bathroom breaks. Every maneuver was calculated there, because he repeated the same pattern twice to incorporate the break. So he's no doubt concerned that they can also lapse out of training if they're allowed to slide.

And you're right, it's a whale call, but I think it's even more specific than that. We've now seen it multiple times where a whale tips immediately after the tweet - like, unreasonably fast. Particularly on night streams. So it seems one of his whales waits for the tweet specifically - they want to see Phil publicly debase himself before they'll give him the money. They were clearly there with their finger on the button. Phil is now desperate enough that he tries to get this tip whenever they're there.
He hid the inflated member count now? lmao. He can't stand that people are on to him
No, it's still on the screen at 408, it's just questionable if it's accurate.

Also worth noting is that there is no member goal and someone is still dropping sock members. The next goal is going to be extremely inflated. But they may also be aware that something is off and are trying to get to the new emote. He has never acquired more than a handful of members without a goal, so this is definitely some kind of nonsense.

The day he said "that's not begging, that's business" he pignosis'd himself and never looked back.

When was that? 2016-2017. He was really prideful the first 2-3 years when he started this youtube shit but that pride is dead and has been for a long time now. He can beg, lie and fifty other shameless things without batting an eye now.

Well it's either his godawful gamepass(member's night) night, or Skyrim at this point, so either way it's going to be boring as piss.

Maybe he will have another rant on Youtubers life, considering how uncomfortable he got seeing Pewdiepie in the game.

Uh-oh Phil already broke TOS with Super Thanks. They are not DONATIONS nor CROWDFUNDING so him telling his audience that is a good way to support him when he isn't working was a bad idea. Hope YouTube doesn't see any of those videos of him saying to support him with Super Thanks. Its kinda like when he told his audience to click on the ads. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Well, they would, except that Phil privates or deletes them so he can upload the stream in multiple parts because he still adheres to the "# of views uber alles" model that he make bank on under Machinima.
Some of his dents have already noticed their liked videos playlist being full of privated/removed videos. The only technical excuse he can deliver is that bullshit about YouTube having issues with videos over an hour long, which is bullshit and he knows it. He just wants to milk views as much as possible.
Hey guys, did you know that George Lucas put CGI into the original trilogy? Did you know that? Well, let me tell you something, Lucas redid the original trilogy with CGI. And then you couldn't even buy the originals anymore! Only the CGI versions!

There, that sums up 75% of Phil's fucking retarded dent head commentary for this shit game.
I really hope a TIHYDP documents all his weird fucking ups with Star Wars lore or this useless commentary because I can't be assed to dig through restreams for this bizarre shit he is doing to look relevant.
Back when he wobbled on stream wearing
What is the exact cause of this, the dude rocks back and forth like he is on a ship.

Apologies if I'm being a total Derich, but how is he breaking TOS?

It sounds like the crowdfunding/donation thing means you can't run like, charitable events. So like, you couldn't try to do some sort of GDQ style thing where you promise super thanks to support Doctors Without Borders. You also wouldn't be able to do a sub goal style thing, where you'd promise to do X after hitting amount of super thanks. Or a fundraiser thing, so I guess one area where Phil might potentially run into trouble is if he slips up and says something like "I need these super thanks to pay my utilities"

But him saying super thanks supports him doesn't seem like it's crossing any lines. I mean, it's true. It's the online equivalent of a tip. It's definitely a scummy/begging move for sure, but that's par for the course with Phil. It feels like people are applying Twitch's bit rules to YouTube, but bits are a very different thing because it's a non-direct system of tipping. Same with the clicking on the ads thing.

Again, maybe if I'm being a total derich and I'll take my puzzle pieces if that's the case, but I'm assuming YouTube gets a cut of super thanks, so they'd be perfectly fine with people promoting it. The reason they mention crowdfunding/fundraising is to legally cover themselves because those events have different stipulations from the usual video/stream. Twitch has similar things for charities, it obviously never came up because Phil is Phil and would never consider helping a charity. But I think most major streaming service has something in place for it. Presumably to protect themselves in case a streamer claimed to be doing a charity thing and pocketed the money.

I think you have it right. He'd probably be in trouble if he tries to specifically do some kind of begraising via SuperThanks, but just telling people they can and that they can do it on any video that's not copyright claimed is not likely to raise an eyebrow from YouTube.
