Creative works you enjoyed until politics happened - "How politics made me hate Welcome to Nightvale and other things"

Is it the Percy Jackson series? Trump broke Riordan's brain.
Haha no, but now that you mention it, that is another one I quit reading due to political sperging. Oh how heroes fall (:_(
I was talking about the Wings of Fire and Warriors series, but I didn't wanna say it cause it might sound autistic

Don't feel bad, a lot of us used to read those books in school, and seeing them go downhill due to political nonsense is sad.

Trump broke almost everyone's brain on the left, and I still don't understand why. Was it because he was an outsider, and not part of the establishment? Would the left have broken down if Ted 'Zodiac Killer' Cruz became President?
I honestly think that any semi-conservative Republican becoming president would destroy the left. They were so convinced that they had obtained eternal victory that discovering that their ideological nonsense wasn't reciprocated outside of their coastal cities broke them. Trump was just the guy that acted as the focus for that hatred due to being a Republican President.

From Young justice‘s showrunner Greg Weisman. Need I say more?

Generally it can happen that several proof readers miss a mistake multiple times if it's easily overlooked when you are not paying specific attention to it. However, they supposedly have someone whose only job is to pay attention to this. Just shows how forced and unnatural uncommon pronoun usage is. Everyone would notice if you say "him" instead of "her", but you consciously have to make an effort to refer to a certain person as "they".

Also how are other countries supposed to translate this insane pronoun garbage??
I've been wondering this myself but I'm too scared to check the translations/dubs of shows etc. who have theybies to see how they handle it.

Obvious One but Harry Potter and it’s extended universe, they were genuinely entertaining and imaginative (if overrated) children’s fantasy books but than Twitter politics got Rowling in their greasy grasp, Rowling got arrogant and interfered with the controversy to closely and the books have never been the same since. It’s a real shame, because they were genuinely decent books, it’s such a shame trans politics out of all fucking things had to ruin it. It’s so bizarre even now considering discriminatory Sex politics is the last thing I’d criticise about HP.

In what way did Twatter politics ruin Harry Potter politics for you? Personally the REEEEEEing made me start liking it again.

I never liked HP, so I am not a perfect person to explain, but I distinctively remember Rowling making announcements about how characters were secretly Diverse™️ all along, such as Dumbledore being gay or retconning Hermoine to maybe be black. Add in the SJWs insisting on constantly referencing HP in regards to politics, and then throw in the tranny controversy, and you have a recipe for politics and Twitter ruining an okay, if popular, franchise.

I remember all that, but all the Twitter retardation did nothing to effect anything that actually matters. The movies, books are still white and non-kweer as ever.

Retarded cuck.

Isn't Halo a "they" because she's a spirit that's fused with a motherbox? That's what the wiki shows. Anyway wild to have a nonbinary female character that wears a hijab.

I was curious enough too look but it's such an obvious answer. Double trouble from Netflix's she-ra is voiced buy a guy and referred to as a guy in Arabic by both himself and everyone else in the random episodes I clicked on. In the episode one specific episode he referred to himself as "actress" instead of "actor" which could just be the same as saying "yaaas you go girl" in gay culture, there's also the very real possibility that I could also have misheard him, I won't put much thought into it. I'll do anything to be in a translation or localization team trying to deal with this.

Umbrella Academy is going to be insufferable and I regret recommending the show to my friends. I hope it stays on their "to watch list" forever until they forget about the show. Not sure if the legend of korra counts, I didn't like the ending (both the story and "OMG THEY'RE BI/LEZ) and looking at the creator's behaviour online made me very bitter and sour for a bit although now that I'm a lot older I think I've come to understand how hard it was to pull off the hand-holding ending I'm a bit more sympathetic to that at least.

Video games. Especially games from EA where everything had some bullshit Black Lives Matter diatribe that you were forced to read every fucking time you loaded the game for a solid fucking year. The worst for me though was Battlefield. Battlefield V with the one-armed pink haired lesbian rolling through Europe in 1946 wasting Nazi's with her Katana-wielding buddy in a got damn World War II game. And then they had the balls to tell people to not buy the game if they didn't like it because they weren't interested in misogynist fans who wanted you know, an authentic WW2 environment. Don't get me started on the CoD gay flags all over the fucking place in their WW2 game either. I still have a bad fucking taste in my mouth after having spent $1000 on BF games between 2002-2016. Oh and I just loaded up Assassin's Creed Origins and they have a message about "this game was made by people with different gender identities" FUCK OFF.
