General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

She should do more zatsudan.
Nice clip, and very nice thumbnail. My thumbnail game is weak I admit. That and picking fonts for subtitles. Seriously there's like a million fonts to choose from they have a significant effect on whether the clip looks polished and professional or amateur.

Delutaya Update:

Recently, Delta announces that she'll be releasing a music cover of CH4NGE - GIGA ft.可不.

She also did two streams: one was a public song practice stream and the other was a Fanbox stream where she drew with her members.

Trash Bearaoke started about 20 minutes ago. She seems to be getting noticeably more superchats than she did when I first started watching her. Happy for her.

EDIT: At the very end she mentioned that she watched Bible Black with Tenma. It's ok, she said they skipped the yab parts - watching for the plot, you see.

Why does trash bear and the yabbit always do these unarchived streams when I can't watch? It's a damn conspiracy I tell ya!

What the fuck? Twitch seems to be kneecapping itself.
You can't really legally force what are essentially contractors to an exclusivity agreement, so maybe this is them finally caving and removing it, but at the same time reducing split and other shit to make up for it.

Not like anyone was ever going to take fucking Amazon to court, but yeah...

I don't think it's Twitch who's behind the idea. I think it's Amazon. I heard it's Twitch staff that leaked the news. Some have even began to leave in hopes of finding greener pastures.

While Twitch is definitely the best platform for streaming out there from a user's perspective, it costs alot to run. Amazon wants it to be as profitable as possible since they're footing the bill. I wouldn't be surprised to see alot of Twitch streamers either making the jump to YouTube or at least taking advantage of the non-exclusivity. My personal hope is that since the user experience will be denigrating due to those pain in the ass non-skippable ads, maybe a true third challenger will arise and take the fight to both Twitch and YouTube. But it remains to be seen.

Interesting news in the small EN corpo wars:
Umiushi Urara aka Slugma is going to Off-Kai to personally to support Phase Connect in person and not even mentioning her former company Tsunderia.
The rrats about her joining Phase Connect as a manager might have been true.

Edit:
For anyone wondering why a vtuber would show up in person at a booth, I'm not too familiar with the Tsunderia lore but I believe the avatar is her own creation, originally using a vroid and she joined the company with the copyright.
Also she has done at least one IRL stream on twitch and might be masked up at Off-Kai. Her tits are a meme in Tsunderia's general on /vt/ They're pretty good.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ks-to-revamp-creator-pay-with-focus-on-profit

Bloomberg: Twitch is considering changes to its partner program Currently discussed ideas (not finalized):
- incentives for more ads
- new rev split (70% -> 50%)
- new tiers system
- no more exclusivity
- changes could be implemented this summer

Phase Connect's Yuri and others with Twitch exclusive streaming already preparing for an exodus back to Youtube.

To anyone who plans to be streaming on Twitch after these changes are implemented for some extra bucks, you should really step back and look into the mirror to ask yourself this important question:

Pippa's oshi actually spent the first part of his show breaking down how this affects streamers, particularly in a small vs large streamer aspect. It's actually a pretty good watch.
TL;DR - This will affect small streamers more than large streamers, as large streamers tend to get more of their income from brand deals and sponsored streams.

Facebook Gaming has already seen sizable growth the last two years, however that's within non-English speaking countries. Plus the Asian market has all sorts of exclusive platforms. From a Western standpoint, it's been a series of failures back to back. From Hitbox, VidMe and Beam/Mixer, none have really found the right balance to refine growth or encourage usage.
