How much value does RWBY even have?
No seriously from the very first trailer onwards that IP could only have been depreciating in value.
You’re asking me to put a price tag on RWBY? I have no clue, but I think the value peaked a long time ago.
Assuming WBD wants RT off their balance sheet entirely, who purchases the rights to RT itself and/or RWBY? Will RT repurchase themselves and retain the rights? If a third party buys RT, I can only imagine a relatively no name company taking a chance.
No clue. I’m sure Ice Queendom will open up the buyer pool some, but I think it’s pretty easy and cheap to just buy, move, or shuffle before just doing a reboot.
RT seems to be going the same direction that many old youtube company channels are going... just on life support. If the RWBY and Death Battle IPs get outsourced I would say it's the beginning of the end.
If there are any canaries in the coal mine, it’s those two. Also, I’m not sure about the DB/RT relationship since ScrewAttack the YouTube channel rebranded, but given that the DB team have recently done channel memberships and talk about how they need to have complete creative control over what they do (basically saying there’s a chance this character will die on screen, probably graphically, and no suit can meddle in the research and production aspects), I think Death Battle can dip from RT pretty easily if they could.

Citations have (finally? -- IDK how long it usually takes) been served to both Ryan Haywood and Rooster Teeth in the Jane Doe case.

Listed in case events. Thought I'd check and as of today something has actually happened.
Put yourself in the shoes of an exec at Warner Bros. Discovery. Your boss promises shareholders $3 billion in cuts. You get word of a company that is owned by a holding company that is owned by a holding company is facing credible allegations of rape. How quick do you make the decision to (best case scenario) fire half of the staff and leave it on life support? The more realistic scenario would be selling it to the highest bidder.

I would figure to rip away the somewhat money IPs (like rwby and maybe death battle) and throw away everything else in the trash and let it die away from Warner bro

Peaked with season 3 and has only gone down from there. Only worthwhile project RWBY has been apart of for years was BBTAG.

It just seems like RT is only worth a few million and if it is even making profits at all those profits are low. That's entirely speculative but I have my doubts it's pushing anything near what CNN+ pushed or if it's even relevant at all. Canning RT probably isn't even 1% of the 3 billion goal.
I think RT really benefits from being so teeny that they go basically unnoticed. I cannot imagine their operating costs are even noticeable and even with the sharp decline in viewership, I imagine AH/FH make more than enough to sustain themselves.

Their animation department is probably what costs them the most, especially considering almost every project they've put out in the last few years has been a horrendous bomb but even then, the not animation departments might make enough to cover it.

RT really rides a knifes edge of an existence. I was really confident they would've been dissolved by now but they keep trundling along somehow.

We have to remember that Zaslov only just took over. His closing of CNN+ is just the opening salvo. He seems to be taking his time and considering how he's going to proceed, unlike Disney, whose plan was to slash and burn everything they didn't need and downsize everything they wanted to keep the minute they took over 21st Century Fox, and even then, it took roughly a year before everything largely played itself out. Its still early yet.

If you ever wanted to know what Griffon's vagina looks like, the answer is out there now if you want to seek it.

On this week's RTAA, Geoff realizes that even if you are presented with an opportunity to be an asshole, you don't HAVE to be an asshole.
This may be where it starts for real. Geoff grows up and realizes that the people he's around are bad influences. Give me those rainbows but I'm really hoping it happens.

Gentleman, Elon musk seems to have bought Twitter for 44 billion and while that doesn’t mean anything for RT specifically . It does mean if trumps Twitter is re-instated we may have all of RT sperging out about it.
Can't wait for Jack's sperg rage tweets.
Look, things have been rough lately. Please, for the love of god, let Trump back onto twitter so that the entire company can have a collective meltdown. Nothing could bring me more joy than that.

The only better sperging will be from the Trumpkins that created the falsely named Truth app that their Dear Leader won't even use and if he gets back on Twitter will make that app (where the users are known as Truthers and the messages they post are called 4D Chess Moves) completely and utterly useless.

i hate trump for different reason being that hes a zionist first all he cared about for 4 years was black unemployment rates and his final act leaving his supporters to rot in jail as he pardoned a jewish spy and rappers

but be real here leftists and liberals let him live in there mind rent free 24/7 and he his there scapegoat for anything bad in the last 6 years and every member of rt will have a melty on twitter

This is a real moral dilemma for him. He dick rides Elon and Jack Dorsey. His favorite billionaire has overridden his 2nd favorite in the name of views that Jack doesn't believe in! The horror!
Doesn’t Jack also own a Tesla? So if he spergs out about Elon buying does that mean he will sell his Tesla that he waited for so long to get

Edit : he absolutely does own a Tesla here tweets from ole Jack the cuck
