Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Am I the only one unimpressed by everyone dying at the end of Rouge Wan? It wasn't particularly dramatic, and nobody was going to be like "Where's Jyn?" when watching The Last Jedi. Now she can't come back, and since her backstory is just 'petty criminal with daddy issues' there's no cool prequel adventures to be had. She's just a stock character who came and went.

You're not. But I'm also firmly in the camp where I think Rogue Wan didn't need to be made and the true heroes of snatching the Death Star plans are Kyle Katarn and the Bothans who died so.

To be fair, the Bothans snatched the SECOND Death Star plans, not the first (Mon Mothma references them in ROTJ regarding DS2) and the first Death Star back in the original canon had multiple stories of people seizing the plans that Empire at War even referenced it by having the Emperor say that he divided the plans between different bases, and no one base had the whole schematic at any time.

You're not wrong, but that means that there is only so much shit Jyn can be shoved into because of feminism, so that makes her best Disney Wars character after K2-SO. Everything else sucks ass.

Mainly I figured the story was would be based off a comic about a similar set up, so I expected it and was impressed they held to it.

Also I think whether everyone lived or died at the end of the movie was immaterial because the movie had so many issues. Still the best disney wars movie, but that isn't saying a fucking lot.

tl;dr: Its not as good as banana time so not really worth discussing.

And yet they still try to push her as being better and more important than Luke because she delivered the plans.

Jyn Erso got the plans to the Rebel Alliance?

No wait that was Princess Leia

No wait that was Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca the Wookiee, Obi-wan Kenobi, and Princess Leia

I guess all those rebel soldiers and pilots and ship crews that died so Jyn Erso had the opportunity to transmit the plans to the Tantive IV did fuck all too THE FORCE IS FEMALE

That part was awesome. I wish all the OCs died in all the Disney movies.

Also no, I don't care about the Vader scene.
What do you mean? I for one loved when he choked Krennic and joked about it immediately afterwards. The single best piece of Vader content I've seen since Return of the Jedi.

I still like to believe Snap died in Rise of Skywalker solely because of Disney spite.
Snap is played by JJ's fat best friend that he puts in everything he makes. I guess he tried making his death dramatic but nobody knew who he was or gave a shit about him in the first place.

That scene single handedly made the main villain of the movie into a sniveling little bitch.

By the way, not that anybody gives a crap, but Soy Wars Celebration is almost here!

Here's a list of all the scheduled panels
I admit some panels might be interesting like the one for the AOTC 20th Anniversary, but they don't really have anything major to present this year other than the D+ shows and a bunch of other shit nobody cares about. That, and Dave's getting ready to fuck up something from the EU yet again:

There's no new films so the hype is considerably more dead than it's been in a long time. The interest in the franchise has been slowly fading as a whole (The Mandalorian notwithstanding) since the 4 year run of movies ended and most people realized Disney had no idea what they were doing.

I got curious and looked up the prices for photo ops/autographs for the guests and I guess the turnout isn't too bad.

Surprisingly Kelly Marie Tran is going to be there which blows my mind considering how hard she got shat on by being in the awful Disney Trilogy in the first place. It's even sadder that her meet and greet costs way less ($80) than it does to meet Ewan MacGregor ($300), Ian MacDiarmid ($155), and even Carl Weathers ($110) and fuckin Anthony Daniels ($140).

For something funny here's an Ahsoka-simp on STC trying to rationalize why Ahsoka's canon breaking existence and overuse isn't actually a bad thing:

Agreed. Rogue One was fine imo but there isn't really much to explore with any of the characters.

Anyways I'm really looking forward to watching ANDOR in mid-to-late 2022!

I think the only successful Chinese pandering Star Wars has ever had was putting Donnie Yen in Rouge One. He was totally wasted (like the rest of the cast in that dumb movie) and I can't say for sure if his inclusion really helped the movie out but it didn't hurt it the same way Kennedyfilm's other decisions did and he's still a major star over there thanks to his martial arts movies.
It really was a waste, because now we're back to reading novels and paying for them in order to understand these characters more.

Galen Erso built in the defect, therefore he is the one most responsible.

Imagine that I stopped reading after this line
Imagine her overcoming her traumas with Luke's help while she acts as a link to the wisdom of the old Jedi. It's storytelling gold.
No it's stupid and you only think it's awesome because you coom to Ahsoka-Luke rule 34
