Seems everyone agrees the Nuclear War is inevitable.
I ain't following the news much, fuck Zelensky though he gives me bad vibes.
It is not.
If Putin use a nuke, the genie is out of the bottle. If Putin is even half as cleaver as he try to project he is, then he knows he is fucked 7 different way to Sunday.

So the ukies have gotten a bit creative with fundraising. Donate $100 or more, and get a chunk of a shot down SU 34. Honestly, it's not a bad idea imo, that would actually be cool to own from a historical perspective. Not $100 worth of cool, but cool nonetheless.
This is like a kickstarter.
“Donate 150 dollars and get a slightly used Russian helmet ( may have some damage)

Yeah, towards the end of the cold war the soviets were far more afraid of the Chinese than the US. In hindsight, we probably could have used that as the basis of us-russian relations post Cold War, but it will remain a "what if" for the foreseeable future. Who knows though, there may be another sino-russian split, and maybe we'll re-evaluate our relationship with Russia then.
It's more like the political situation in 1984. Three major spheres of influence and all of them changing allegiances to each other as opportunities rise and fall. Eurasia and Eastasia might be shaking hands right now but when it comes to the fate of Vladivostok or Manchuria things can get heated. After all, China and the Soviet Union had occasional border disputes and some where even small arms fire was exchanged.

International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine allegedly got doxed.
Here is documents that were found on the phone of Vitaliy Kim, governor of Nikolaev.

Can somebody try to find at least one of those on twitter or facebook or some other social platform to confirm if this is true or not?
Speaking of Chinkface of Nikolaev:
"Ok, so, everyone, we are going to start blocking off governmental district. Close it up and so on.
I need help with Molotov cocktails and those who are ready to actually throw them, not just make them. These are two different things. Thank you. Come, uh- wai- I, I'll tell a bit later where to gather and who will be a person responsible. Don't want too big of a gathering, thank you."

Might as well expand on this guy a bit:
Yet another prominent Ukrainian governmental figure, Mayor of Nikolaev, Vitaliy Kim, who seemingly has quite a bit of popularity on social networks, all that jazz.
Among his top ten hits are:
- multiple successful counter attacks against the horde
- "those aren't explosions, this is our AA working"
- "those aren't missile strikes, those are excavators at work site."

And a reminder what happens to those who bring molotovs against BTRs:

It went beyond small arms fire, they had division sized battles with combined arms. It's actually how China got its hands on the T 62 tank.

The question shouldn't be, "Could this escalate into a nuclear war?" but rather, "Am I willing for myself and everyone I know to die in a nuclear war for Zelenskyy?" The answer should be obvious.

Honestly, who could say no to that face? I regret that I have only one life to sacrifice for Zelenskyy!

Volodymyr Zelensky's $850 Million Accumulated Assets Questioned by Dutch Party After Campaign Vows Against Corruption During Elections

Honestly, though, the time to really worry is if US troops and Russian troops are facing each other for real on a battlefield. The reason why the nukes could fly in such an instance is simple because both sides would have to be prepared for the other side launching them all at once. It's kind of funny to read people talk like Russia would launch a nuke at Washington, DC and then another one later, possible at NYC. No, they'd launch every nuke aimed at every major NATO city all at once. All our nukes would launch around the same time. I mean MAD doctrine hasn't changed, has it? The whole reason we never directly took on the Soviet Union was due to that.

But of course, we didn't have a charismatic man like Zelenskyy to make it worth it at that time. If only we had, maybe we'd have taken Stalin out back then. It's very sad that Zelenskyy was not the leader of the free world back then!

The "special military operation" was the best thing that ever happened to Zelensky and he knows it. The guy could rape and murder someone on live TV and the talking heads would praise it as an act of courage and defiance or whatever words they use to defend corrupt oligarchs.

He's been putting on one hell of an act and people are falling all over it. To be honest I'm amazed that anyone is even questioning his assets although it's common knowledge that Ukraine is at least as corrupt as Russia.

And how do you expect Russia to react? "We going to roll tanks into Kiev, because glowniggers are acting up!(No concrete evidence right now by the way. Haha.)"?
That's just taking it too far. You fight glowops with glowops. Case in point, the special units and secret service at the time still had Russian training.
If you go in and listen to the call with the mind made up on the fact that US can do no wrong, that's what you'll hear. (Overall those types of points became somewhat of a mirror of to which side each person leans, but i have to consneed to you on this one, because it is my claim that CIA interfered in some way, and onus is on me to prove it, yet i can provide no solid evidence. But my hope is that you don't dismiss possibility of interference outright.)
That's the thing - I've always been a conspiracy schizo. This time I just don't buy it. It just sounds like people talking shop about how things are going and how they can make moves, but it doesn't prove 2014 was planned.
I did not said that Ukraine should have taken the deal(Though in my opinion, that was the smartest thing to do in this situation, yet if Ukrainians were smart, they would simply follow Minsk agreements and non of this would have to happen in the first place.).
Minsk II was broken the very day after it was signed when DPR forces assaulted Debaltseve.
What i was talking about in regards to Crimea was Ukrainian recognition of Crimean separation from Ukraine and a promise to not build dam that would block flow of drinkable water towards Crimea, and nothing else.
I really don't want to be callous, but they can Crimea river. HA!
Now for real, if part of the country wants to fuck off because they're Russian they shouldn't count on Ukrainian water. Is it petty? Yes. But Russia carves off a piece of your land and then asks for gibs? Fucking tell Putin to build a desalination plant, he's apparently the guardian of the Russian people.
In terms of guarantees for Ukraine for it's neutrality, at least two countries (outside of Russia itself, of course) are willing to give them if the peace deal is to be signed.(Turkey and France, i believe? Correct me if it is wrong.) So no, Ukraine would have guarantors of it's independence and a far better one then some US official. (And in a funny way would block Hungary, Poland and Romania from trying to reclaim their territory from Ukraine, if it ever became a problem.)
That means fuck all. So two NATO countries are going to war with Russia to protect Ukraine? How's that gonna go? I mean, Russia and the US (along with other countries) also signed a guarantee. The Budapest memorandum. What did the US and Russia promise Ukraine? Ask the Security Council to assist Ukraine. Where Russia has veto power.
Ink on paper doesn't deter an attack, the capability to spill blood on the ground does.

Tfw the war is just a plot by Zelensky and Putin to promote their new Impractical Jokers style show on cozy.tv

"OK Vladimir, now you have to invade me and get the West all pissed off or you lose this round."

"OK Volodomyr, now you have appear on a zoom call and tell the West theyre a bunch of assholes for not giving us I mean you another 5 billion in gibs to fight me or you lose this round."

Some of that aid Ukraine has been receiving could easily be laundered by him and people that work for him. If he manages to survive the war, he could probably skip town and live off of those gibs for a while.

I am not lurking here very often, because i don't really care about this war.

But what are the odds that Putin will drop the A-Bomb?

And we already know NATO are criminal bastards that don't really give a shit about casualties
Newsflash: Nobody gives a shit about casualties, unless that army happens to be fighting on home turf.

Also if Russia gave a damn about Ukrainian casualties they could just fucking fall back and go home to Russia.

Lol what? Nuclear war is far from inevitable. People have been saying that for over seven decades now, and yet here we are, nuclear war free. There's been periods of far greater tension that didn't result in nuclear war.
I posted this once before but this thread flows thick and fast and I genuinely believe it's a terrific (and not too long) read.

(the paper they quote attached).

TL;DR: I hope the use of nuclear weapons does not take place but it's not off the table. And Russia considers (rightly, imo) the expansion of NATO as an existential threat.

In short, our exchange can be summarised as this:

You: <An argument based on the NATO and Zelensky definition of Ukraine.>
Me: It is better to make arguments based on people's own views of their loyalties, culture, well-being.
You: "everything is arbitrary, bong insults,"
Let me try again.
Someone says Ukraine should have just taken the peace deal.
I point out the deal was designed to fuck Ukraine over.
You come out of the woodwork and say that Ukraine as defined by Zelensky and NATO doesn't matter, what matters is the people. And Ukraine isn't a functional democracy. This is valid for every fucking country. Rural Americans get fucked over by the sheer numbers of urbanites in CA and NY, and voters in those states also get fucked over by the electoral college. Are we going to fight a war over this shit? Is Russia a more valid democracy than Ukraine? Would the civil war had started if Yanukovich himself had steered in the direction of the EU? Is this all over a fucking coward in a suit telling gangs and police to crack down on the protests, and then fleeing the country to avoid the consequences of his actions?
