Really if Tim was smart he'd stop trying to hire people from OWS or those who want to stick it to the man and hire some people who are more generic and then leverage their time training them in terms of research and whatnot. I think he's afraid it will end up like Buzzfeed where the talented people leave and make their own channels as they already have a virtual audience, which is part of the problem of making a Youtube based business and you're not paying excessively. Really he might be best served doing something like an MCM where he just has a bunch of independent channels under him and takes a cut for things like advertisement, legal bullshit, etc. It seems to work for vtubers well enough, but they are also given a character from the company while all Tim can offer is a chicken.
