Disagree entirely. The SA model was shit, and the first aberrant and cancerous example of how moderation at all was a bad idea. The best of the Internet was when it was nearly entirely text and the best forum of all time was Usenet, which was literally impossible to moderate, although moderated newsgroups did exist, and the rare surviving newsgroup is generally moderated.

You could use regex to filter anything you saw and sort it by as many different categories as you cared about, with killfiles, scorefiles, and other indexing tools. You didn't need any fucking jannies because such creatures were useless. Anyone who professed themselves as a ruler of a newsgroup (unless they actually were a mod on newsgroups that deliberately started that way) would be endlessly called a faggot, told to shut the fuck up, and killfiled.

Look what happened after SA started turning into the gay cat lady tranny forum it is now. Everyone was literally escaping SA to go be somewhere else like 4chan. Or taking their successful model elsewhere, like the LPers. Who were the people coming in at that time? Absolutely useless faggots who generated nothing of merit.

It's a bit of a story, she successfully baited some gamerghazi types into making complete asses of themselves. @Jaimas can give you all/most of the details.

She and a few others also kept an active dossier of proven and convicted sex pests, abusers and nonces. They hid in the smokescreens of their own moral authority. I can't recall if any managed to actually harm kids but a few got caught getting very close. They were overwhelmingly Resetera/antiGG/woke and seethed the information was publicly available in a convenient package.

The Zack Attack was mentioned a bit already. During GamerGate a lot of the anti-GGs made a lot of noise about how evil doxxxxxxing is. Mombot, it appeared, left a breadcrumb trail to her actual identity after a long time of people saying she was lying about being a Japanese woman. A bunch of the Twitterati leapt at it and started gleefully revealing that Mombot was actually some dude named Zack who lived in the States. Mom then revealed that the information was all faked just to show how hypocritical these people are when it comes to doxing.

Then there's the 9volt feet debacle. 9Volt is an obnoxious lefty on Twitter who ended up being seen as her rival for a bit. One night she posted a bunch of pics of a Twitter DM between them. It was him saying he'd stop coming after her if she sent him pics of her feet. People started mocking 9Volt on both sides, and about a day later she revealed she'd faked the pictures to prove a point about how easy it is to cancel someone over fake information.

The last big one I remember is her posting about Zoe Quinn going to Japan, and how she figured out the exact hotel she was staying at. I believe she low-key implied Zoe had been flown out there as a prostitute for some salaryman too, but that's fuzzy.

All said, Twitter is better for her being on there.

There's an asshole named 9_VOLT who is covered extensively in the Gamergate Hangers On thread. He's one of those TRUE AND HONEST believer types and has been especially ardent in his opposition to GG (because he's in the same orbiting sphere as like 50 other cows, including Nora Reed, Zoe Quinn, Izzy Galvez, et al). At some point or another, Mombot started using him as a control for real-time experiments in Anti-GG behavior. The first one involved feeding fake information to a few of his buddies that they had info that could dox Mombot (information which was blatantly false). True to form, he and his buddied jumped at it and looked like tards.

Much later, we get to the one that everyone knows much better about: She created a blatantly false DM in order to show to these assclowns exactly how easy it can be to fake that shit. The faked PMs were really obvious, and in less than six hours, Mombot revealed what should have been obvious to anyone with half a brain. Unfortunately, by that point, a huge number of 9_Volt's followers either unfollowed, posted additional shit on him, or publicly denounced him, because he willingly lives in a world where redemption has no meaning and allegations are automatically true.

It remains to be seen how the Musk reign of Twitter will go since he hasn't taken over yet, but you're like the people who claim Trump was establishment and allowed by the left to get elected when the opposite was true to anyone paying attention.

It's kind of funny to me how the DOOM AND GLOOM posters seem as butt hurt about this happening as the purple haired 5 o'clock shadow troon slacktivists are because it messes up their massochistic edge lord accelerationist fantasies.
