She didn’t have to be clever. Russell had it in his head they would eat at Olive Garden before having sex so he didn’t even try to initiate when they went to the bedroom for over an hour waiting for Olive Garden to open. All she had to do was chat until they left for dinner and there wasn’t enough time left after coming back.

Russ states people said things they didn't actually say because he takes an actual statement, runs it through his Eternal Victim filter and puts words in peoples' mouths. It's like when Taylor's family's lawyer said they found his frantic and repeated attempts to get them to make her contact him "invasive and troubling." He ended up saying "Taylor said she hated me."
