Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

The idea that the Borg ever once had art, games, literature, or anything of the things we generally associate with culture completely destroys their menace for me. However, think about it for a moment; if the PreBorg really valued things like art and cultural heritage, wouldn't they look for and assimilate that from other species as well? The fact that they apparently hold no regard for expression at all suggests to me that they never learned the value of it in the first place.
I don't know that I agree. Art is how creative people exteriorize their imagination so others can contemplate their thoughts. In a hive mind, that's happening all the time, and no medium is necessary. If you assimilate Tom of Finland, Tom of Finland's imagery percolates through all the brains in the hive. But there's billions of other competing imaginations continually contributing to the whole, so maybe Tom of Finland is mixed with A. Wyatt Mann, Ben Garrison, Sophie Labelle, and countless other influences every day. It would all sort of average out to a continual process of imagination and re-imagination with vanishingly few ideas surfacing out of the noise to be physically realized somehow.* Our idea of "art" in a fixed form, whether paint or marble or sound recordings, would be completely alien to the Borg, something not worth their time.

* They have that hand-claw thing they use as a symbol. And in Voyager the Queen makes an installation of dismembered drones.

What the heck is Brave New World?
FF6 mod which is kinda cool but not without its faults.

Is there another Trek show coming out?
Yep. A series following STDPike and his crew. They have already cast a new Kirk too for the second season.
Kurtzman and Akiva Goldsman just want to make sure to destroy every era of Star Trek.

For some reason they are wearing the uniforms of the Andromeda Initiative from ME:A.

Makes sense. We know from Picard S1 that someone at Bad Robot is a fan of the worst Mass Effect games.

Huh.

Well. That's nice that people are getting paid I guess. Maybe I'll re-watch Babylon 5 again... yeah that sounds fun!

i don't think anyone has fucked with Robert April yet.

ETA wait.. SHIT

Does he act like pike or look like the OC timeline? No. it might as well embrace the fact it isn't canon. That being said, it does look like its actually trying to have some fun. If they finally bring back adventure of the week episodes, it might turn out somewhat decent.

They need to let it be its own dam thing, and they need to have good writing staff. unfortunately that's a pretty tall ass building to leap, considering how shit paramount has been with halo and star trek lately.
