I'm fairly certain at least one FTM died a few years ago of ruptured ectopic pregnancy because her medical documents said "male."
In another recent case an FTM had a stillborn baby because she showed up with abdominal pain, documentation reflected "male," and thus she wasn't given appropriate triage for a female.

As always, everyone is like "we need to do better at giving trans people appropriate health care!!!!" instead of daring to suggest that peoples' medical and legal documents should reflect their actual sex rather than self-selected delusions. The constant insistence that these cosmetic procedures actually change someone's sex is legitimately confusing for such a throughly medically illiterate society. That's why so many FTMs think they'll have working dicks or MTFs think uterus transplants will somehow be a thing. They have no functional understanding of biology and they also seem to think surgeons are wizards.
