Better Call Saul

I do not disagree with this at all. I also would have thought the Nacho plot would have resolved closer to the actual end. I figured that he'd cap himself after he was shown that his dad was in danger (kinda like when Jesse watched Todd kill Andrea) but just tilting their hand to show they're playing with house money.

It was a rush job to get the Nacho thing done, and it probably should have happened later... But with how unexpected it was, kinda gives a bit of "who's next?" in the saga of Gene at Cinnabon.
I figured it might have been due to fears of losing Bob Odenkirk after his health scare. Maybe it'll pop up again later down the line.

Well Mike is a full fledged retard by the time BB rolls out so why would he not blurt things to Saul? He loses all of his money because of incompetence. And then gets owned by Walt a dozen times. Mike uses plastic zip ties to hold Walt hostage instead of having someone watch Walt, letting Walt easily escape. Then like a total buffoon has Walt pick up a bag with a gun in it that Walt uses to waste him. Mike's told by Nacho to kill Tuco. Mike cooks up the braindead plan of letting Tuco nearly beat him to death, get arrested for a gun charge (which fails), and then causes the Salamancas to threaten his entire family completely exposing him to the cartel. He tells Nacho that sniping Tuco is high risk. Yet a week later his granddaughter has cartel assassins pointing guns at her.

Mike is literally one of the dumbest characters in all of BCS and BB. Almost everything he does winds up failing in the short and long term. For all his master assassin writing he is basically a dolt at everything else. So I doubt that he would keep a secret from Saul if Saul asked because the question would almost be rhetorical at that point. "Hey Mike have you heard from Nacho or Lalo lately?". Any answer would tip off the truth.
My avatar respectfully disagrees.

They essentially have three storylines to wrap up. Jimmy transforming into Saul. What happens to Kim and Howard. And then merging the timelines into Breaking Bad and Gene in the future. You can throw Lalo and the cartel into the mix but the endings there are pretty obvious at this point. Mike probably kills Lalo with a sniper rifle. Salamancas never find out that Gus and Mike are planning to take them down. Maybe a cameo of Tuco getting out of jail or Jesse meeting with Krazy8.

If Nacho is still alive for another few episodes it eats into the other stories. They need to have Kim vs Howard and the fallout of that story. And they need to explain why Kim is not around in Breaking Bad and do it in a way that is not a lame retcon or plot hole level bad. Though they are already retconning a lot of Saul's character by making a huge amount of his persona based on Kim's suggestions. And we know that Walt and Jesse are appearing and likely it is more than a quick scene. And finally the show will likely end with Gene.

Nacho's death being crammed into the first couple of episodes opens everything else up. And with two cartels hunting him down his time was short anyways.

Was that a
clip on tie that Gustavo Fring was wearing? I'm sorry, but I don't believe for a second that a man like Gustavo Fring would wear a clip on tie.
Unfortunately I do believe it was. God, I never thought I could lose respect for gus, but after that I have to question how much I can truly respect a man who has a clip on tie.

Clip on tie can be easily removed in case you get shot. So you can remove your overshirt and get to the vest or wound more quickly. Makes sense from a tactical perspective. Neat detail that they showed.

Mike's old.
He was just so tired of it all.

They are running into the problem of this being a prequel where there is no danger for the main characters. I was bored watching Gus's security setup. We know he has guards 24/7 around his house. "Go home Walter". We know that nothing will happen to Gus or Jimmy so the fake tension is basically just time filling at this point. Lalo is going to die. Practically everyone else will live. Just get on with it. Oh wait we have another half season to wait for.

I think we can all now agree that the long-standing theory that Kim and Wendy are the same person has now been proven.

Also, I think Lalo and Nacho might actually also be the same person as well. I can't prove that one yet though

That is his Chicken Man outfit. I believe he has always worn a modest yellow shirt with a clip-on tie when he is at Los Pollos Hermanos. I could have sworn I remember a scene where he actually checks out of Los Pollos Hermanos and immediately changes from that outfit into his elegant mobster outfit.

I'm not sure if the yellow shirt is universal every time, but it's definitely part of the scheme, as well as a tie that is definitely less formal than those he wears in his criminal career.

He wants to look harmless in his job and does not dress ostentatiously.
Kim shitting bricks at the possibility of Lalo paying them a second visit.
She should be. She outsmarted him and worse, gave him one of those reason you suck speeches that cut pretty deep, and was right, and is a woman. He isn't going to forgive any of those things. Despite being more openly calm than the rest of the Salamancas and probably the smartest of them, he's still a Salamanca and they never forget a slight.

Also there's one obvious scene where we absolutely know Gus wasn't wearing a clip-on, and that was his obvious post-mortem straightening of the knot of his tie, and we saw him dress up for that occasion to the nines. I am pretty sure there's a scene or two other than that where he's specifically getting dressed for an occasion (other than getting into that yellow suit for Victor's unfortunate send-off).
