I mean, stating the total obvious here, but I think people forget that just like any other kind of drug or medication, HRT can become addictive. Not in the same sense as weed or anything, it's more of a psychological thing - "the more HRT I take, the less dysphoric I'll be". So then they become reliant on it to the point where it becomes a fixation.
