Bolded for emphasis, I felt the same way. I could tolerate the rap fanboying and other zoomerisms so long as I thought Nick was earnest in his political goals. I could even tolerate some of his more paranoid and insane behavior on stream when I thought he was being persecuted by the federal government for peacefully protesting the election results on January 6th. But I can't tolerate lying about such things. Even IF he did nothing to get the feds to relinquish his cash and take him off the no-fly list (which is highly unlikely), the fact that he continued to lie about it after the fact, likely in order to spur more donations, is just extremely scummy behavior. There's no way to argue that it's not scumbag behavior. Plus, the knowledge that he likely did give up some sort of vital information or agreed to cooperate with feds in exchange for this is even worse. Yeah he got his money and his bimmer, hope it was all worth it. I was never delusional enough to think that Nick would be president or anything, but I legitimately thought that when he was old enough he might try to run for Congress and be a kind of right wing zoomer version of AOC, someone who gets a lot of media attention with crazy statements, popularized more far right wing views, etc. That was probably the best case scenario for him, either that or local politics of some kind. But now it seems like that is completely impossible. I see him as the same as any other political streamer, like Vaush, maybe even worse tbh. As much as I think Vaush is a cringe faggot, I don't know if he ever lied about shit like that, or tried to dox or sue his former associates for disavowing him.
