This is one of the few times I’ve seen real honesty from a troon on why they transition. This bloke doesn’t want acceptance, he wants celebration. In sum, he wants to be an extra-special snowflake by doing what amounts to jackshit. Most adults understand that unless they actually do something amazing and/or groundbreaking they’re not going to be lauded all the time. Most of our lives are made up of quiet moments, and if we’re lucky we have people who love us even if we’re not superheroes or Nobel prize winners. Troons don’t want that - they’re so consumed by their desire for fantasy that they despise everyday life.

They’re also lazy, self-centered shits who don’t want to put forth the effort, sacrifice and humility to achieve something truly great. Greatness (generally) requires humility, because without humility you can’t grow into a better person. Troons want a grand destiny to be their life’s work and purpose in the way it’s presented in a young adult novel - they want a special destiny plunked down into their laps instead of working hard to create something in the real world. Think about it: Harry Potter becomes great not by just being Harry - he’s special because he’s a wizard messianic figure, instead of a muggle police officer with a family and a couple of very good friends from his school days. It was never going to be enough for troons to be accepted - they want to be celebrated, and be publicly acknowledged for being oh-so-special-and-brave just for being troons. Acceptance was never the endgame - social dominance is what they are working for. Which is why they freak the fuck out when anyone else asserts their own boundaries and treats them as normal, unremarkable people.

Shit like this I find the most exhausting of online "discourse". She's obviously referring to the stats that show transwomen are killed at a higher rate than other demographics, given their percentage in the population. It's been discussed to death already how this is mostly a result of MTFs participating in sex work at above average rates, and I'd be really curious to see if those numbers have shifted with the number of more well off AGPs coming out all the time.

But the stat is digested and simplified down by the woke online crowd to "trans people are murdered at a higher rates", then to "trans people are murdered all the time" , then to "FTMs are gunned down in the street".
