Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Day 3 of attempting to prog P3S: PF is home to the most retarded individuals I have ever come across.

We have tanks who are clearly missing their cooldowns and dying to the tankbusters, before then going "nah mate, I'm not missing my cooldown, my HP just goes from 100% to 0% sometimes". DPS constantly feeling the need to do the stupidest greeds imaginable and taking damage downs constantly, and people deciding that failing a mechanic four times in a row in the same way doesn't immediately make them go "fuck, am I doing something wrong".

Worst part is when you get a catgirl who fucks up a basic mechanic and then goes "whoopsie xd I fucked it up again".

I know the fight like the back of my hand now, and I've gotten to the stage where I can pretty much do the whole thing flawlessly, even figuring out optimisations so that I can have key abilities like Holos, Pneuma and Panhaima off cooldown at the right time.
This fight is absolutely unforgiving in PF. Most of the fight is one of those "if one person fucks up we wipe" things.

So even if you can do the fight flawlessly, you're essentially gambling on the other 7.

I do have time for it just I gotta do something important for a while so the game doesn't get in the way of it. But once that's done I'll be able to manage my time better.

I recommend tending to your thing first, there's no real rush to play the game unless you want something from the seasonal events. Currently there's a rerun of the FFXI crossover event and in a few weeks we'll be having another minor patch update.

You will drive yourself crazy redoing the fight. Western data centers just suck at doing content, you just need a static and that's another can of worms. People make statics to avoid retarded people, so it's not rare to get retards in your static and have to repeatedly replace people.

Apparently a JP streamer got banned/suspended earlier today while streaming with TPT showing.

Most of the PoVs for Neverland got taken down as well. Only monk PoV is left. Apparently a lot of them were using a plugin that shows exact slidecast timings and another one involving debuffs. Didn't watch any of them before they went down though so I can only go on what other people have said.

It was kind of amusing yesterday to see that even among all the coping on The balance there were people pointing out that yes indeed, using plugins that give you an advantage in battle is considered cheating.

Keep in mind that the prize for world first is just kudos. There's no cash prize, you get a thumbs up from the devs. That's it.

Basically every MMO with a 'hard' endgame is either dead or in a content drought ATM. So the only place they can get their fix is on Yoshida's Wild Ride.

Expect to see them grift when Riot's new MMO comes out.

I can safely say that claim is 100% BS. On 6.1 patch day, one of my main CWLS had people complaining about static members who routinely recleared P1S through P4S before, suddenly fucking up basic mechanics consistently. You know why? Their mods were bricked. They literally can't beat the bosses without the help of those tools.
Can you really claim you're good enough to beat a boss if you fail at it the moment your third party tool is turned off?

I'm so glad that these addons are getting banned.

Fixing and adjusting graphics is one thing. They likely don't give a shit about that.

Using addons to cheese mechanics? Fuck outta here.

That's the one thing I absolutely hated about wow. Having to use addons for fucking everything, from bags, to auction house, to fucking garrisons and class halls not to mention WeakAuras flashing with seizure inducing intensity while DBM screams into your ears.

Good on the FFXIV team though to realise that if they're using these addons, there must be something wrong with the hud, and that they'll be making improvements and additions.
