I’ve covered Anglin and Weev‘s history many times before on the Daily Rake, although I’ve never written about the Tanya Gersh stuff, Pat Casey’s AIM fiasco, and a few other things that I‘m kicking myself for not covering. If Smarty Pants wants the cliff notes he can listen to TDS:891, but it’s basically the following.
- Richard Spencer’s mother was basically being coerced to sell her property by some jew Tanya Gersh.
- Gersh was harassing her into selling.
- Mike Enoch pressured Spencer into getting his mother to fight back legally against the coercion case.
- Moike had to do this, because Spencer is an inert, narcissistic blob, but at least he eventually gets there.
- So Anglin and (((Weev))) pretend that they’re throwing a neo-Nazi March in WhiteFish, Montana, where all of this is happening. And they’re talking about it like it’s going to be a violent rally, and a “show of force.”
- This causes Spencer’s mother to not want anything to do with the lawsuit again.
- Anglin and (((Weev))) don’t stop there, and they dox Gersh’s 13 year old son and then explicitly tell their followers to harass him.
- Cue facepalm meme.
- So after being essentially a criminal and evil kikenroachette, Gersh gets away with it, and also sues Anglin.
- Anglin puts up on his site that he’s doing this big free speech fight.
- Raises over $150k from his supporters.
- Then he just decides to… not show up.
- No really, he raised money and then just NOPEd out.
- But he kept all the money he raised “for the legal battle of our lifetimes.”

That was basically when a lot of high quality people who thought the DS was going somewhere started being more skeptical at the very least. It’s also something everyone should know if they ever feel like donating to Anglin, who constantly begs for money.

the knife. That was also the time when Metokur or guys like Sam Hyde approved his content.

I truly wonder what happened.

It is very obvious that right wing ideologies in their early stages attract people with more abnormal brains. A normal brainwashed NPC would not be able to go off at jewish power after years of brainwashing. That is where narcissist e-celebs come in... The people who dox themselves in order to spearhead movements like this all tend to be insane to some kind of extend. Otherwise they would settle for an anonymous format (in my opinion some of the more normal guys tend to be anonymous). To me it was always clear that Nick had some kind of mental issues, but I did not really mind it as his movement started out very promising and fresh. Guys like Jaden and Simon truly would have sacrificed everything for this movement and I believe that if they would have done more IRL stuff, they could have been much much bigger. Fuentes surely knows how to stir up attention and I have no clue what truly happened to him in the last years. Is it just that his greed and comfort took over? Was he approached by the actual powers that be?

Something in his eyes seems more hopeless and careless. His gratitude and hope, which I truly believe he possesed, seems to be gone.
All this anti-woman stuff is not optical at all and his lack of self awareness is truly mindblowing. I liked most of his 2019 women takes, and I think most guys could relate.

Very well said, I don't know what happened to him either. I was always tangentially aware of Nick, but never started paying attention to him until the groyper wars thing. His content seemed fresh and interesting, and unlike almost every other right wing pundit, Fuentes was actually very funny.

The idealist in me wants to believe that he was forced to torpedo his own movement by the feds. Basically they demand he ramp down AF in order to avoid serious charges, or something like that. It just doesn't make much sense otherwise. Then again, I'm not sure how much he really makes from superchats. Maybe he started making a lot more in 2020 and that ended up going to his head. But for a guy who lived with his parents for so long and who avoids many normie social functions, it doesn't even seem like he spends that much money. Clearly with how much he was underpaying his team he definitely was not spending much. We know he didn't get a gf, so it's not like he got distracted by a relationship. He had friends, but clearly, according to Jaden, wouldn't even want to hang out that much. Jaden was apparently his best friend but even in 2021 they'd only hang out once every few months outside of AF events. Then you have stories like him being a mask cuck, being afraid to confront leftists despite being surrounded by tall chadbro AF dudes. Maybe it all got too real for him and he got scared, and he'd rather have his movement collapse due to drama and infighting than his lack of ability to deliver real world action.

There's always been a weird aversion to a lot of irl stuff with Nick. Personally I disagreed with how he threw CWC under the bus, when the guy seems to be doing his best to engage in real world organizing, and actually tries to get people to work out and be healthy. It seems like his personality can't tolerate anyone else taking any attention away from himself, which has been unfortunate. Politics is about delegating power and working with people, and Nick seemed unwilling to share any power. Even absolute monarchs and dictators had to delegate if they wanted to be successful, but somehow this seems like it was lost on Nick.
