I've seen a few people say he bought the account with the name, or he made it and never used it which I can believe since I made my account in 2013 and never used it until last year. This is Dream we're talking about though so, he's probably lying. Saying you didn't have social media so you couldn't learn how to not be a racist is such a weird thing to lie about.

Twitter changed Clay's username to @dream sometime in Late 2020, where it was @dreamwastaken before. Looking at an archive from the Wayback Machine on August 1, 2020, you can see it still says he joined in August 2010.
