How about a snack, boys?

It's not meant to be appealing and its art style is deliberately chosen to defy Soviet realism. This is a Ukrainian mother as she would look during the famine of the 1930s, how mothers look when they grieve, and how many Ukrainians probably feel as a result of Russia's invasion. It's an ugly piece of work but it sure conveys its message clearly.
Pieta conveys a message while also being beautiful. You can make art pretty.
This piece of garbage does not portray anything. They took a mold of goblin from LOTR and put it as a statue.

Indeed. What if there never was a Ukraine and Russia and everyone in this thread has just been screaming about nothing?
This works perfectly if you read it in the voice of Adam Curtis.

More info about that statue

A monument called "The Cry of the Ukrainian Mother" was installed in the Prince's Garden in Sofia, opposite the monument to the Soviet Army. According to the idea, the monument condemns Russia's actions against Ukraine.

God knows how much I despise pretentious "art."

Senator Rand Paul blocked a bill on the allocation of additional aid to Ukraine in the amount of almost $ 40 billion:

- I swore an oath to the Constitution of the USA, not to another country. We cannot save Ukraine while dooming the US economy.

If they'd told me the statue was titled "The Warcry of the Goblin" and said it was a Lord of the Rings fanart piece, I would've believed it.

Also, it seems disrespectful to all the WW2 Russians that fought and died. They had nothing to do with modern Russian spergery.

True. The red army fought a more noble, greater foe.

And that statue sure shows holols as snow gobbos.

who the fuck is going to be interested in proxy war against america in ukraine? china? they have nothing to gain from such a move, but a lot to lose. the cost/benefit analysis of such a move just comes out very negative from their perspective.
No. There are other potential conflicts in the world that could be started.

Hunting for snipers

I like artillery. If it wasn't for the chance to go deaf when using it, I would consider it the best type of troop.

The video with American tracked M-113 armored personnel carriers received by the AFU as part of military assistance from the United States.

War is war, but lunch should be on schedule

Repent, faggot. I am 100% sincere about this.

damn that bitch straight outta chernobyl

Makes me wonder what the Russians intend on using the island for, besides turning it into an unsinkable missile/artillery base within range of Odessa.
Here is an explanation from the Ukrainian side
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine stated that the island is of strategic importance both for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for the Russian army, because it allows you to control the surface and, to a certain extent, the air situation in the south of Ukraine. Also, Snake Island is strategically important because of the possibility of landing a tactical amphibious assault.
Statements of the Russian Defense Ministry
Since May 7, on the direct instructions of Zelensky, the Ukrainian General Staff, with the direct participation of advisers from the United States and Great Britain, has planned a major provocation to seize the island of Zmeiny;

Over the past two days, the Kiev regime has made several desperate attempts to land air and sea troops on Snake Island, which is important for ensuring control of the northwestern part of the Black Sea;

Russia is trading these things for experience against conventional militaries, and particularly against some of the latest tools used by those militaries.
It's not about experience or even the cost of equipment, but whether production and consumption are in time.
This is a race for who will run out of supplies faster
I came across an interesting video about weapons and the ability of the United States to project power on its satellites
What's bad is the president himself seems at times to constantly want to remind everybody what we won't do and putting arbitrary limits on our assistance, I think, undermines our effort. But, the real ugly is that we are running low in terms of our stockpiles.

We just burned through seven years of Javelins and that's not only important as we continue to try and help the Ukrainians win in Ukraine, that's important as we try to simultaneously defend Taiwan from aggression from the Chinese Communist Party. They are going to need access to some of these same weapons systems, and we simply don't have the stockpiles at present in order to backfill what we've spent in Ukraine.

Something a little different from the usual combat footage: war crimes trials have begun in Ukraine. The suspect in the first trial is a Russian tank commander named Vadim Shysimarin. It's alleged that he killed a 62 year old man after being ordered to do so to prevent the man from reporting his and his comrades' positions to the Ukrainian military.

Britain’s foreign secretary, Liz Truss has urged a meeting of G7 foreign ministers to equip Ukraine to Nato standards and maintain sanctions against Russia until it has fully withdrawn.

The BBC reported that Truss told the meeting in Germany: “[Vladimir] Putin is humiliating himself on the world stage. We must ensure he faces a defeat in Ukraine that denies him any benefit and ultimately constrains further aggression.

“The best long-term security for Ukraine will come from it being able to defend itself. That means providing Ukraine with a clear pathway to Nato-standard equipment.”

Ahtohdaso. The plan is to double down again on exactly the same things that provoked the war, turning whatever "Ukraine" is still left after the Russians declare victory into a NATO FOB, not even barely disguised as a country, in preparation for Next War.

Brits, Krauts, Americans and others wondering exactly how they'll benefit from lavishing hundreds of billions on a gangster-run Slavic version of Israel, while food and fuel prices go nuts at home, in order to increase the chance of total thermonuclear war within the next decade, are Putler lovers who hate are Freedom and Democracy and Trans rights. :smug:

Kangaroo courts at best. Worst of all i don't know what the viability of them escalating it to higher courts are.

Great way to get all your Azov and 36th Marine brigade charged for war crimes in the DPR and executed or given 25 year sentences. War crime trials are for when the war's over, not when your enemy can still retaliate for them. Even if this retard is literally Hitler, it would be a terrible idea.

My take is that it's a kangaroo court, but there's actual evidence he did it to make it seem legitimately plausible. Going by his age he's probably just some enlisted guy and not an (N)CO which would look like a much bigger deal being put on trial.

It's important to remember for all the reeing about how "The evil Russians are genociding the Ukrainians" there's basically a zero percent chance we haven't had at least one case of some trigger happy Russian Slav shooting an unarmed civilian. Civilians getting caught in the crossfire has been a thing since war has been a thing, expect Ukies being put up in Moscow in the coming weeks as well.

They don't care, pretty much everything the Ukraine is doing now is for short term propaganda purposes. If Russia retaliates they'll just cry Slavically about how them Azov boys are being oppressed by Putlers (send more money and guns plz)
