I hate that they made the little boy hold a dead/dying deformed baby. Why do they always do that?

A book I am reading by some evolutionary biologists said that less interaction w/the body of a dead loved one results in longer and worse grieving. Lots of primates naturally interact with their dead loved ones bodies as a part of understanding what death means. I would not be surprised if most of the kids wanted to hold the baby.

This is true at some ages. But children do not have the ability to understand the finality of death until about 7 years old. Five to Six year olds have a vague understanding but still beleive that they are "alive" some place.

When I was little (like 4), I was mad they wouldn't dig up my great grandma and forcefeed her food and drinks so she could live again.

I think people making little kids hold fucked up dead babies isn't done because those kids want to, but because the parents want them to so they can take pics&show everyone their special Jesus angel babies. I'm talking the kids that are obviously too young to really understand what's going on, like kindergarten age and younger.

In where I live, I frequently see flyers that are taped on the walls of shows for various kids with SMA. The flyers have a pitiful photos of the sick kids. They use phrases like "give a breath to Amy" above the URLs, social media accounts and bank account numbers. It's genuinely terrifying, with the photos of kids on ventilators.

Gets more scary when you know the fact that there was a medictation being used that stopped or slowed SMA that could be adminstered only in medical settings, but during covid they had to stop giving it. Many kids who got a new lease at life suddenly lost it.

I'd imagine most suicides of kids are less to do with online challenges and more to do with more typical factors like bullying, low self esteem, depression, toxic home life, etc. Poor kid, 12 is so young

Regardless if he's braindead he's dead, and should be removed from life support and laid to rest. Horribly tragic situation regardless.
