I read this and immediately thought it meant Fredrick was thinking of going back to school for a CS degree, but no: he actually wants to fund a scholarship for someone else to do a Masters in 'font engineering'
Fredrick, this is a fucking stupid idea and it's never going to get off the ground. They're going to reject your money the same way (and for basically the same reasons) that St Jude's rejected Ralph's money that one time with the Healstream. Charities sure, but funding a scholarship is a different beast. Every i has to be dotted and every t has to be crossed, and it's all beyond reproach and auditable. (It has to be that way, so you don't get hilarious conflicts of interest like e.g. scholarships and grants for lung cancer research being funded by tobacco companies.)
Sure, Freddit could pseudo-anonymously donate it to a charity, but then he doesn't get the props of being able to brag about funding a scholarship.

I was trying to think of why I hated Fredrick Brennan while I don't hate Ralph. Both of them are pretty terrible people and are backstabbing cowards with no true loyalty or morals, but Ralph is just a childish buffoon who cries over people when they wrong him somehow, Fred just seems openly malicious with no reason to hate people. Ralph is one of the rare lolcows where his shitty behavior has tangible retributions. Finally, he's not a fucking furry! Fred's fursona is incredibly off-putting even for fursona standards.
