Yes. And there is a lack of understanding in many people that boys can get EDs as well as women. So they tend to fall through the cracks.

I genuinely feel terrible for these people. It's just...so sad how some kids end up. But I really admire the parents who love them regardless.

Kids who otherwise wouldn't have had problems really got fucked by the pandemic response. The kids who were in anything competitive were devastated, because they had spent years working on their skill, and then everything was canceled, and at the time they canceled it no one knew if or when it would come back. A week seems like "forever" for kids. Pediatric mental health systems are unable to deal with the influx of psych referrals, and it has been that way since shortly after school closures. Maybe this kid would have had problems anyway, and maybe not, but he is a part of a larger trend that has an identifiable origin. Under normal circumstances I would assume he was bullied or pushed to hard or something.

Gonna share cause most of the kids here are cold in the IQ department. The woman is delusional that she thinks they can learn anything. They do not. They'd touch a burning stove over and over again and fail to learn not to do it. Plenty don't interact with their environment whatsoever, so giving them therapies and crap is honestly a fucking waste. Is it even living at that point?

There's a reason there was once trainable/untrainable as a distinction. Now that that's gone, people delude themselves into believing negative IQ spuds can learn. More realism about their capabilities would benefit them and everyone else when deciding what therapies to even provide.

The mum (Hollie Dance) has an open FB profile if people want to go look. She posted that she had to go to court several years ago to get any school to admit him and when a school did take him he had to have a 1:1 so that suggests pretty severe behavioural issues. He's 12 so he's probably in year 7 now (first year of secondary schooling for non Britbongs) so has probably moved to a new, big school this year with a lot less support.

She doesn't seem very well educated and has been taken in by Christian Concern, the same organisation who were involved with Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans. Hopefully it won't end up with a massive media circus again - she is already talking about transferring him out of the country.

Well that fb was depressing. The woman's completely delusional and misrepresenting whats happened to make it sound like an accident and that theres hope.

It does sound like he's circling the drain anyway with global brain swelling. Hopefully the poor little guy will make the decision for them. Godspeed Alfie.

Where I work, I've noticed that people who are realistic about what individual tards are (and aren't) capable of do much better and usually last much longer than their delusional counterparts. I didn't hold any unrealistic fantasies about what our people are capable of before I got hired, and especially not how after immediately upon being hired I was assigned to the group with some of the worst cases in the entire state. It made for very interesting virtual training sessions where many other new hires were delusionally optimistic about what our people could do, while I made a point to always talk about doing things within reason. They'd often make comments about how I was being unnecessarily mean or whatever, promptly followed by the experienced instructors telling them that no, I was actually in the right, and trying to force a person without the capability to ever attain literacy to learn how to write their own name was far more damaging in the long run.

Point in fact, we have it written in our goals protocol that if after a certain amount of time little to no progress is being made toward any given goal, then that goal has to be "rewritten" into an obtainable one. Downside though is everyone has to have one or more active goal at any given time, even when anything is beyond them. So if notable tard potatoes like the Hartley Hooligans, Luna, or even Jaxon were clients at my work, we'd have to make up some bullshit for them knowing damn well they won't reach that goal and we'll eventually have to make up some more bullshit for them to not achieve.

She is Catholic but didn’t want her child to have a life of suffering so she made the very difficult choice of having an abortion.

Paisley’s mom, Melissa Courson, refuses to see anything through her daughter’s perspective and would rather have her daughter suffer in pain with every breath that is forced into her tiny body. Melissa is only doing this to selfishly save herself from saying goodbye.

The whole gymnastics scene is toxic. Lots of travel, decided by judges, usually not related to schools, a team sport with little actual teamwork, psycho parents and coaches, it's expensive and time-consuming so they demand their money's worth, and it's easy to get injured. And one weird overlooked thing is that it attracts girls with Ehler's Danlos Syndrome because the hypermobile joints are an advantage at first. There's a major overlap with Ehlers and autism. They eventually get serious injuries but still push through it until they can't.

Dude hired a hooker for his brother with downs.

Archiving doesn't seem to want to co-operate but here's the origional and I'll enter the test in a spoiler. Wild. To be fair the dude is 24, but we all know that mentally his age very much not match the number of years he's on earth.


I'm 30 and my little brother is 24. He's honestly the best brother I could have asked for. I still remember the day he was born and holding my newborn baby brother when I was a kid. As we grew up I always knew he was different but he's my brother and I love him and I wouldn't change him. He's honestly one of my best friends and having a brother with downs syndrome, especially one like him has made me a better person.

Last month my parents went out of town for a few days and they asked if I'd stay with my brother and take care of the house. While he might have downs syndrome he's not entirely helpless he just can't really be on his own like that. So of course I agreed and brought my PS5 over and some games, snacks and beers, I called out of work for a few days and figured we'd have some fun just like when we were kids.

We were having a great time and were talking the first day while taking turns playing Elden Ring and my bro started the game and got to the part where the guy calls you "maidenless" and I said something like "Ooooo he called you maidenless bro...daaaaaaamn." and my brother got super sad looking and I asked him what was wrong and he said, "I am maidenless. I'll never have a girlfriend." So we talked about that for a bit and he was actually feeling super depressed because he's never had a girlfriend and didn't think he ever would. We kind of talked it out and he was really sad and I decided fuck it we can find him a girl.

I called a couple people I knew who were into that sort of thing to see if they knew anyone. Well one of my buddies had a number of this girl so I gave her a call. She was actually super sweet and understanding about the situation and she said she'd be glad to show my brother a good time for her usual rate. She had a cousin with downs so she was very sympathetic.

I told my brother I'd pay a girl to come over and show him some fun on the condition that our parents will die without knowing I hired a prostitute to come to their house. He agreed.

So I made plans for her to come over, got my brother shaved and showered for his date. She showed up dressed up super nice she was also super hot. I'm no chef but I had picked up some food from Olive Garden for them. She was a genuinely nice person and was really good with him and I just left them to do their thing while I played the playstation in the livingroom. Eventually they passed by going upstairs to his room. I put my headphones on and kept playing.

Eventually they came back down and both had big smiles on their faces. She hung out with us a bit then it was time for her to go. I handed her the cash plus some extra as a bonus. She said my brother was a sweetheart and that I was a good brother to do something like that for him and that she had a good time. She handed me half the cash back.

Eventually my parents came back and thankfully are none the wiser as my mother especially would probably kill me. My brother is super appreciative and said it was the most fun he'd ever had. I have no regrets.
