General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I live in fear of holofightz anon going holobass and screaming it's his idea and he should be getting paid
I doubt that will happen, guy seems too busy with IRL to do that sort of thing (last stream was what, back in March?). He really put a lot of production value into it tbh, but it's not really monetizable (copyright music for one). Still great, and I hope that anon is doing alright whatever he's up to.

Joey did a GIANT collab with 100+ YouTubers that included quite a few Vtubers the ones in the description i recognize are as follows
Iofi
Monarch
Froot
Emirichu
Haruka karibu
Ironmouse
Kizuna Ai
Kson
Kureijii Ollie
Layna Layzar
Nyanners boy toy i refuse to try and spell
Miyune
Calli
Mysta
Nyanners
Projekt Melody
Wolfchu
No Pippa, no watch. That and I don't really recognize any of the people except Pewdiepie and Critikal, neither of which I watch.

Shocking social experiment uncovers that most content creators' tastes are bland as shit. Tune in next time for the experiment of whether standing in the rain makes you wet. The one thing that I was honestly shocked by was that not a single one of them seem to have even mentioned Demon Slayer, I figured it'd be getting named a lot.
Yeah no one picked demon slayer it was honorably mentioned a couple times and Tectone decribed his pick as demon slayer for adults

This channel popped up in my youtube, i don't know if there's still active OreApo clippers so it's nice to see this with english subs to help bring people into the Vspo circle.

I wouldn't worry about that, these things are always passion projects that will keep happening until the organiser inevitable quits and passes down the torch . HFZ itself is derivative of VGCW, which is 10 years old at this point and it's even still running, I think? I've heard it's shit nowadays though. Besides, considering where hfz and others like divegrass originated from, nobody sane would want to officially associate themselves with that crowd.

Miko's WWE streams are great, but HolofightZ's intros are GOAT tier

At least link the hd version:

Kronii tired of Hololive? Rarely stream, hiatus, no stream schedule, but streaming in friday and today with her old circle.
Whether as Kronii or Dottovuu the gwaks and joker arcs continue

Edit: that said i think its less a holo issue and more of a not wanting to stream atm issue this way she can play a game and relax without needing to stream her pov

she did express frustration with her unintended forced breaks streaming when she came back from Covid so she can't hate streaming that much

Edit 2: looking at her archive she has streamed a lot since recovering from Covid Screenshot_20220515-150823.pngScreenshot_20220515-150832.png

So I decided to dive into their twitter to see the other updates on this and i found this

I think the TTS is dead bois

Good question tho that Zen dox vid that goes around here every so often has a ton of Zen fans in the comments saying they know and don't care
Where the Redebut culture comes from? Because as far as i know it doesnt comes from Hololive which most westeners are inspired from. And before you mention Kiara, she did it but as a joke, not as a complete restructuration of the model, (unnecesary) lore and even personality. I think its a western only thing to feel more special, even considering Debut its an idol term.

The vibes coming off the fat asian guy talking up Cardcaptor Sakura constitute probable cause for the issuance of a warrant to search his hard drive.

Considering how some of the anons act on /vt/ about it, you'd be surprised at how narrowminded they are about it. "WE INVENTED THIS FORMAT"
It was hilarious seeing them react to Selen's stream like that format hasn't existed since character creators existed in wrestling games. I'm pretty sure my fucking dad made a royal rumble with his coworkers in like 2005. In the wider view of thinfs holofightz is pretty niche and I wouldn't be surprised if somebody as normie-adjacent (as far as vtubers go) as Selen hadn't heard of it and just watched the Jerma rumbles.

Earliest online example I can think of is DSP doing it back in like 2010, thus making the rare, almost watchable DSP content, because he isn't behind the controls and JohnRambo is doing 99% of the talking.

Just to clarify, she's only set it private in order to edit the VOD (blur out the donos that appeared on screen). On smaller channels, for a 4+ hour stream, it can take Youtube several days to process and put the VOD back up, even after the editing part is done. But it will be back up for sure.
Did not know that. TY for the info. Fuck those faggots for making her have to do that.

EDIT:
To not double post
Yeah, Neo is still finding out what works for her when she's streaming. Her FNAF: Security Breach stream was pretty entertaining and I think her best streams will be with horror or rage/puzzle games from what I've watched, but the voice is a bit of a hurdle.

That said, Idol Corp does have some pretty decent members. Kattatrina Qutie is probably the top one, as she has streamed before without a doubt, and tends to have fun streams. She interacts with chat a bunch too which is is nice, and her most recent stream definitely made her someone I watch now

If this is too long for you, here's some clips

I'm a bit busy now, so I'll get into the others in a later post.
The experience gap between the two of the is noticeable right off the bat. I'll root for Neo but the ball's in her court. QT is actually kinda charming from what I've skimmed through.

She openly likes guns so that's a plus in my book

Pomu you absolute fucking madlass.

The reason for her hiatus a couple of months ago was so she could build herself a weather balloon that would send acrylic stands to the fucking stratosphere and return safe enough to use the footage.

Apparently she had to keep calling the fire department to salvage the balloon from tall trees and stuff.

So it's technically connected. Lore time!
Bazza took the reigns of VGCW in its infancy from an inactive channel and he is often mistakenly accredited as the creator of the format, much like Maffew is with Botchamania. After a few seasons of fun hijinks and constant woes working within the limitations of WWE 2K13 and WWE 2K14, Bazza decided to bow out with grace. He handed the keys over to his entrusted creative team, moderation staff and website admins. In essence, a council to ensure things remained nicely balanced.

It backfired

See, Bazza was the great filter. He wanted to ensure that only the most known video-game adjacent names got presence. However Bazza was very much a boomer and thus it was hard locked to mostly 90's stuff. Without him to assert himself or implement a true hierarchy system, the main-roster would be constantly adjusted to appease those in the council and forum devout users. It basically caused a gaping hole in the roster, with a power-gap between beloved names (Scorpion, Airman) and misc. weeb bullshit and indie flavour games protagonists. So how did they go about amending this problem? Side-shows!

EDBW (Extreme Dude Bro Wrestling) was in essence the NXT (rookie show for non-wrestling fans) format to VGCW. It's roster was borderline /v/ core 101 with the likes of Francis York Morgan, Frank West, Travis Touchdown and Donte quickly asserting themselves into the main show. It also had vastly better production and would overshadow the decaling VGCW format, but that is just personal bias. WVGCW (Women's Video-Game Championship Wrestling) is the only remaining active passion project and lastly BCW (Belmont Championship Wrestling) which was basically the weeb containment after CONSTANT complaints over Persona cast members getting constant roster spots.

So what went wrong Anchor, you autistic wrestling fan? It's failure frankly comes down to the most obvious problem that is plaguing a lot of these niche scenes. Troons and Politics. Well that and the teams refusal to adopt the next-gen games. But I assure you, the fact that so many staff members went trans didn't help matters. And how does this all tie into HoloFightZ again? Well from the ashes of what once was a fun and retarded fighting simulator in VGCW, would later find a mini revival via a /v/ meme. Some of you may have seen webm's in which Chris Redfield fight's for Leon's sperm in a "Money in the Bank" match? Well this alone inspired some anons to do more!

From here, a continued series of /v/ threads resulted in the birth of what is known as "The Final Rumble" and they still regularly do shows on Twitch. /vt/ would latter adopt the format for themselves and even include "The Battler" from TFR as one of the roster members.

One of the earliest examples still documented online comes via "NoDQ" from 2007.

Sorry for derailing your thread weebs!

Actually in that case hes more like Niji En Coco

In other news Zens new model is rapidly approaching still holding out hope they ditch the tts and go for a robotic filter to mask the dude voice instead

Also seems the ship has sailed on Irys kimono and she hopes things go better next year she didn't elaborate on what happened just that it was no ones fault in particular
They're really testing the girls HOPE. (:_(
Yagoo really wants to test her determination in delivering HOPE and believing still.
They really have dropped the ball with IRyS. I don't understand why it's so difficult to design a new outfit or kimono for her. It must suck seeing the other girls, including those who made their debut after you, get new stuff for their models.
I know people will say 'Maybe Redjuice is just too busy' but I'd like to think that these are the kinds of things you'd want to iron out before you commission an artist to illustrate a design in the first place.

Can you allot time once a year to create a new outfit? Can you meet deadlines? Can you create a design with a scope that doesn't tax you or the rigger disproportionately to existing members?

There are many artists who could've been hired to make an IRyS and also have made a kimono IRyS on time.
It's not even just the New Year outfit that is the issue. Best case scenario at this point is she will have a new outfit to reveal on her anniversary. I actually would not be surprised if HoloX got their 3D before ID2, IRyS, and Council, too.

The worst thing is, you can hear how defeated she sounds about the whole thing at the end. It's frustrating to have a job where you feel like your company is letting you down and holding you back because of their ineptitude. Hopefully I am being overdramatic, but it is frustrating to see someone in a position I can easily relate to.

That was definitely an inspired idea and had some awesome shots.

You need to put some of that stuff in a spoiler tag, simply for size issues.
