There's apparently also a reasonable number of people that are former veterans, and people employed as emergency services staff of whatever kind, living in the suburb. I don't know enough about that part of California to give any more pertinent info.

This shooting made the morning news in Japan, because CNN spoon-feeds Japanese television all their news about the US. They made certain to emphasize that the shooter was White and had a “White Supremacist” ideology.

This once again demonstrates the true function of CNN. Americans know they’re full of shit, other English speakers are less certain. But they control the narrative to non-English speakers.

EDIT: for example, Japanese people never heard a single thing about the Canadian truck protests unless they were bilingual.

Which begs the question—who controls the narrative about what you hear concerning news from other countries?
