Dehumanizing Asia, Africa, and South America once again. RetardEra continues to be a bastion of white supremacist thought. I wouldn’t be surprised if Payton Gendron was a regular user. Especially since he also shared another one of RetardEra’s passions in furry culture.

Side note: it’s not even true that the a large majority of Americans support abortion. The majority support abortion in some cases but when asked for specifics Americans get much more cagey and hesitant. A recent poll showed that a majority of Americans weren’t even willing to support unrestricted abortion at 6 weeks. So it’s clearly a contentious issue, which justifies both Sony’s neutral stance as well as the impending Supreme Court decision.

They're confusing the moderate and conservative position of most people not wanting to overturn Roe/Casey (which allow for abortion restrictions) for their extremist position on abortion.

Like always, there's only black and white and no grey. You either support abortion as a human right up to the point of birth (and sometimes after) or you support putting women in prison for murder. There's no nuance for activists.

Even better, Sony bent over backwards to appease these people. Moving their HQ to California, strict censorship policies for sexual content, and censoring Japanese games at the source. They have the nickname Soyny for a reason.

Yet as has been proven time and again, it's never enough.

Maybe one day companies will remember that catering to a small crowd of extremely loud crazy people online is not smart. But I guess for that to happen they’d first have to stop hiring those crazy people in influential positions.

To be fair, most companies only cater to that crowd online on social media as a form of targeted advertising. The ridiculous shit these companies tweet out are rarely the same things they'll put on a bus stop ad. Unless that ad is on the campus of some dipshit university

But I work for a tech company, so I’ll concede that I’m probably more exposed to woke slacktivism than the average American.

I do as well but it's in the financial industry and I can say that in 7 years there I haven't seen anything bordering on woke, even in the quarterly policy update emails and conferences HR handles.
