postmodernism is not marxism. marxism is a material analysis of oppression and the other is a subversion of the material to "transform" society. they are not the same thing. we are living through the postmodern project, which actually dovetails nicely into technocracy ie :the dismantling of the western project to obliterate democracy and install a "new form of government". it could be called corporate or Fabian Socialism, but it aint Marx. I'm not even a fucking marxist or a communist, but i know enough about what has been going on in the academy and the destruction of culture wholesale is more about postmodernism (post structuralist) than Marx. if the postmodern project succeeds we are looking at the erasure of Karl fucking Marx as well.

I don't think Lindsay ever claimed that the nutcases running things now are pure Marxists though (I could be wrong, I only follow the podcast). From what I understand he believes they've taken up some Marxist and communist ideals, most from China rather than Russia, added post-structuralism crazy, and have created something new and far more dangerous and effective than either ever were. He's always saying we live in Herbert Marcuse's world, not in Marx's. Either way, I think 'Identity Marxism' is a somewhat useful designation for what's going on, as most people know of Marx but not of Marcuse or Freire. Maybe not necessarily a sign of intellectual dishonesty rather than marketing.

I never was a huge fan of him or his work but that op needs some work. He might not be famous but his work is iconic in Ireland and England, like extremely iconic. Also laughed a bit at :

i didn't go to school for women's studies. i ended up reading all of those texts b/c of the rise in transgenderism in 2015. i wanted to see if anyone was critical of it and found GC reddit. that's when i got interested in the 2nd wave and nerded out on a bunch of books. also on GC reddit i was exposed to Dworkin and "Right Wing Women", which is where this idea comes from. i also saw terri strange talk about it. 2016 - 2020 was a weird 4 years.

THEN the coof hit and trannies and feminism were just not that interesting to me anymore. i also noticed that most "feminists" were completely hypocritical when it came to my body my choice rhetoric, so i basically stopped paying attention to "online feminism". the big picture is hard to see for so many of them. idgi. i think when your sole focus is on trannies it's actually detrimental to your critical thinking skills.

fast forward to 2021 and people are telling me, have you heard of TT? she's AMAZING. so i attempted to watch her content and it was just...boring. i don't really care to watch the freak sideshow that are trans surgeries. people say she's so compassionate, but I don't think so. i also don't think her videos are all that illuminating, but i guess i have been around the block on this stuff and it's pretty obvious what's going down re: the Medical Industry, iatrogenic disease, and life long patients. i didn't even come up with that observation. i read it on GC reddit!

Yeah she's not particularly compassionate, and to be fair I don't think she has to be. I loved her early videos because it was a great freakshow AND a good insight into the medical fuckery that was happening even during a pandemic that most (like myself) were not even aware of. Plus Sierra started out commenting on tiktok videos, the type of stuff boomers like myself don't watch, so it was really illuminating in that sense. If you like that sort of thing she was great and offering something no one else was. If you're not into that sort if thing it won't be entertaining.
