FWIW since I've seen a few mentions after Rekieta talked about it, the "pillstream" wasn't the same stream as the Flamenco/Gator pillstream everyone knows. It was a separate stream where Ralph was supposed to play Cuphead for some reason, it's the stream where he looked at clips of Soph, paused them, and then passed out.
In the morning, around 9AM Sandra came in to wake Ralph up (to drive her to dialysis), she tries a couple times and eventually decides he is too wasted, between that and when she calls him to ask him to come pick her up (and he almost tells her to eat a dick), about 2+ hours go by, in that time Ralph talks in his sleep (the infamous "IT'S NOT TRUUUUUUUU" clip and other weird sounds), it's all been condensed down to just a few mins but in total it was probably more than 14 hours of dead air.

I don't remember if it was the same night as the pillstream but I do remember it was supposed to be a "gaming" stream and not a normal show so it was separate from the pillstream itself.

I've seen this in really old people with dementia. Having seen the clips and from what I've seen of Ralph antics before, I think Josh is on the right track when he says that Ralph has a deep internal shame about being embarrassed and it's what consistently will send him into flying rage. In some ways he does have thick skin and can deal with a lot of flack but if there is one thing that he handles worse than a hormonal teenage girl it is the fear of being embarrassed.

I'm not one to go so far as to say that Ralph never cared about his mom but I definitely don't think it was grief that inspired his rage against Chrissie. He just hated that one moment where he comes across as an intoxicated silly mess coming to light again and hearing someone who he holds in some regard just openly laughing at him. He hates being laughed at, he hates being an object of mirth and he will deliberately act in a destructive and horrific manner to try and pull away from it, he would rather have people (justifiably) hate him and yell at him and fuck with him than feel even an ounce of embarrassment.

He screamed at Rekieta who was, by his own admission, massively guntguarding him, because of the 2 second grimace at him sharting. He sent himself into delirious fits of rage because a Chrissie tittered at him (same goes for Venti and Southern), he burnt the bridge with Jim, who has probably made him thousands of dollars, because he was laughed at and had pill bottles shook at him. He started the confrontation with Jay Dyer because of his awkward banter about him not being a chick magnet. He sent the sex tape because people laughed at his tampon breath and the possibility of being cucked by a meth addict. His entire downward arc began because of his terrible reaction and zealous chat-censorship after the gunt image.

He reads the farms every day so that he can get ahead of whatever people are mocking him for and let out his anger off the air so that he doesn't get it dropped on him live and risk being humiliated publicly.

It was probably growing up as a poor short fat kid his entire life, he was just a constant target for mirth and every little thing he did was seen as silly and humiliating. He can't handle it. It even reflects in his drug use, alcohol numbs him from caring about it, benzos stop him being anxious about it, cocaine overcharges his ego so that he doesn't feel it, and opioids (I don't know if its even been 100% confirmed he uses but it seems likely) just let him forget about it all.

In short, the family thing is a massive cope and a lie to cover what truly riles him up. When Ralph is humiliated he cannot stop himself lashing out at those around him. He would rather be an object of scorn than one of ridicule.

From everything we've seen, Ralph treated Sandra like shit, not only the "call you an uber" stream (where she seemed used to Ralph's behavior/having to find other people to help her), but also the texts with Faith where he makes his terminally ill mother make him pancakes because he is sad (and other ridiculous shit like that), there is also the fact that he decided to abandon her when she was at her worst point health wise because he thought he was going to get a threesome out of it (after mooching off of her for 30+ years and not contributing a dime), there's the fact they lived off her SSI because he was too lazy to get a job, the fact he didn't help her when he was making 15k+ a month on YouTube, the entire final saga with Sandra and the vaccine, etc.

But I think one of the most telling things is Ralph saying that everyone has "unguarded" moments where they speak to their mothers like that. No Ralph, that is not the case, people might have arguments with loved ones but that type of behavior isn't really something everyone goes through with their parents when in their 30s.
It's sad because I do believe he probably regrets all of it, but like Ralph likes to say, it is what it is.

I think he does have at least some genuine regret, but it only highlights what a piece of shit he is imo. It's not like Sandra died suddenly in a car accident and he never got a chance to have a heart to heart where he opened up about why he's such a pill popping Makers swigging asshole. The time your mother is dying in the hospital is the time that conversation is going to happen if it ever will. If your own mother dying alone and probably afraid during a chaotic time for the entire planet isn't going to rouse you to do the right thing, what will?

I didn't notice the holes in the wall from the young fat Ralph pics until someone pointed them out. There is a claw hammer embedded in the wall above a hole in I think the cake picture. I have little doubt that Ethan wasn't a little rage piglet after seeing that. I don't know the deep Gunt lore about when ol' Ronnie left, so maybe I'm wrong and it was him.
