Personally I think there’s some major dirt on him about to come out - maybe someone sues him. Epstein related or financial fraud or just an ex with a beef, could be anything.
But that’s where the “omg leftards are about to politically attack me” is coming from. If it’s a rape accusation or something like that, yes they will, and he’s trying to get ahead of it.

It's a little different in this case, because there was literally no discernible difference. There were no allegations the pipe used was an inferior product, was leaking, or was defective in any way. It was in the house he was already living in so it wasn't a question of that either. He wanted them to rip out all the pipe that wasn't the brand he specified and replace it with the other pipe, essentially to take the whole job apart and replace it, or rescind the contract.
If the pipes actually were leaking, that would be a material breach that would justify a complete refund.
In short, plaintiff was unreasonable and should have just asked for any monetary difference between the two products, if there was one.

I think the "just watch how everyone attacks me now" is foreshadowing him trying to bail on the deal. We'll know soon enough. He won't be able to walk away IMO.

I'm sure they've been digging for dirt on him since he first tweeted asking about free speech on twitter, if not earlier than that. If they can't find any they can always just make some shit up, hell I'd accuse Musk of rape in exchange for 50k.
I really do respect what Musk has been doing here, he's pushing a lot of things to the forefront and exposing stuff we've all known or assumed for a long time to a wider audience.
I would like him to buy Twitter, free speech on the internet and being able to freely mock our overlords is all we have left and might unironically be the only shot we have at stopping the upcoming relaunch of covid hysteria and digital ID. If pictures of empty egg cartons can shutdown the Ministry of Truth maybe mocking maskfags can stop mask mandates from coming back. Musk may be torturing monkeys with weird brain chips but he's one of the only rich public figures who is doing anything with their wealth to help shitposters.
With all that said, time are tough and my offer to accuse him of rape is still on the table, any Feds monitoring kiwifarms please contact me and lets get the ball rolling.

His 2020 platform was to the left of Obama in 2008.
