I don't think you can call giving a man a very colorful cocktail of drugs to induce lactation "basic biology". If it was basic men would lactate on their own.
Something else, I know they argue that because womens lactation is also caused by hormones it is all the same but I would be interested in how much of these naturally produced hormones actually end up in the mothers milk. Considering actual breast milk is rather complex I would guess the womans body has a way of filtering out such things to only pass on the things the infant needs, as long as it is something that is native to her body and not some medication etc.. I think the mans body produces nothing but a poor imitation of milk with no intention of ever feeding a baby so there would be no reason for his body to filter out harmful substances.
Idk, I'm not a biologist. Maybe some smart kiwi can shed light on that?
