Anyone that lives right off the edge of their means. People who are literally incapable of saving money. If you receive the weekly paycheck, you spend it all and wait for the next one. Except Phil gets paid daily via tips. And then you get all the occasions where he insults people who suggest he downsizes any aspect of his expenses.
Let's not forget Phil is a guy who as soon as he started peaking big money - leased a fancy BMW for 400 dollars a month only to drive 6000 miles in more than 3 years. Any extra money he gets daily is fun money he gets to spend (on gacha, doordash, etc.) until the next paycheck tomorrow.
Phil is living above his means for a stupid ass reason. Period. He's a cheap ass. He bought his soulmate a $200 ring. He flew to his parents house to get married in front of 10 people (none of which are Kats people) and ask for more money from parents. He still complains about a honeymoon when he coulda had one three times over.
When I say trolls control his life. That's not just a bullshit statement. They actually control his life. He does things just to
"look" like an adult in front of random people on the internet. That's his motivation. It explains why he visited Las Vegas 3 times and never left the hotel, it explains how he is unable to make friends out off fear of another John Rambo situation where people enjoyed him more and he couldn't take it.
Phil is a very miserable person inside. He wants nobody to make money but him and he wants people to kneel to his will because he wants to be groveled to. It explains why when John Rambo said call, he never did and blamed it on him. It explains the leaks where he loves receiving apologies on any level. It also explains why he can never do a co-op or any project when someone even remotely shines more than him.
So thats why I don't get when people get mad when he makes money. Hes not doing anything worth a damn with it. It literally goes to bills, gatcha games, food, and booze. He rarely leaves the house and he's in a loveless marriage (just look at him when Leanna is brought up).
He moved to Seattle one of the most expensive cities in America even though he wanted to save money. He bought a middle condo for fucking 200,000+. He's has no credit. And he will never learn from his mistakes because he's too arrogant. No friends, no real family, no other hobbies, and he's an embarrassment on the internet who's name is for ever tarnished.
Whats there to be jealous of?
At the risk of sounding like I'm chasing copium, I wouldn't say he's doing better than ever. I don't think he's doing particularly bad by any means, but it feels fairly average. I think the only real change is an increase in begging tweets, but it's not like those were rare before.
A common complaint about Phil is he's boring/stagnant. Which to a certain extent is true. The events are different, but follow the same basic formula. I'm sure if you go back two years, the only difference would be "Phil was toxic to a Twitch viewer" instead of YouTube viewer. Hell, the game he's raging at might even be the same given how much he's been doing replays lately. Every so often there's a bit of a shakeup, like bankruptcy or the bank leaks, but it pretty quickly goes back to normal.
Even if there aren't any shocking twists, I think Phil still produces good content. I've often compared him to the cow equivalent of trashy reality TV, like Springer. You know it's going to devolve into a shouting match/slap fight, but seeing how it gets there is still entertaining. What inane thing is going to set DSP off? Bad fast food order? A nine year old girl in chat? Inability to beat basic AI at a tennis game? A conspiracy about Amazon delivery drivers stealing his package, only to seemingly return and drop it off after realizing they were caught on Phil's stream?
Who cares if Phil "succeeds" at streaming. I agree that he produces more entertaining content when he's not getting anything, but it's not like he's a ray of sunshine when people are donating. Even saying he's successful feels like a stretch because whether he makes $20, $200 or hell, $200,000 in a stream, it all ends up in the same place by the end of the week. And that place isn't Phil's bank account.
First of all, congratulations for doing well for yourself. Second, Phil is successful... he's just a miserable, lazy, greedy person with no other interest than video games which he sucks at too. Phil has had life throw him softball after softball and he fucks it up every single time.
Great parents. College paid for by parents. Traveled the country to see other things. Was proficient at Street Fighter. Dad gave him a job. Came on Youtube at the right time. Had friends with connections. Had a team to make edited videos. Found a decent girlfriend to back him up. etc...
Now thats just a few.... How many of these things you think Phil fucked up
? Sorry I can't wait, ALL OF THEM. He literally fucked up everything handed to him. Great Parents, didn't give a fuck. His college degree? Never used. Traveled the country? Never left the hotel. Street fighter skills? Though good he talked shit about everyone so was never respected. Dad gave him a job? Fucked it up and got "laid off" (fired). Came on Youtube the right time, blew up, got jealous of people more creative and bigger than him so he talked shit about them. Had friends with camera presence? Got jealous and didn't pay em. Had a talented editing team? Didn't want to pay them. Found a girlfriend? Used her as another mother despite she loved being on Camera.
Im not even gonna talk about moving to Seattle to save money, or never upgrading his equipment and when he did he pissed people off.....
How much can one man fuck something up?
The only thing im jealous of is still being able to hang on... other than that this guy is nothing to be envious or jealous of. He literally fucks up every opportunity he has.... and maybe this is a bit harsh... but maybe the people that actually like him are fuck ups themselves and are rooting for the guy.
He does the bare minimum of everything and sucks at the very thing he's done for years still. 13 years not one peer to rely on, lived in Washington for 6 and even Leanna made good friends enough to move out with them... dude was an alcoholic and decided to talk shit..... only child.....
C'mon man. I bet anyone with even half of these opportunities would of progressed farther than Phil. But he's such a lazy, miserable, greedy person who is never wrong about anything. And he's this person for absolutely no good reason and benefits off of being this person by just loafing around being bad at the world.
If you're still jealous of that, im sorry.
