What are the implications now that the Ruble is the best performing currency of the year?

paragraphs of cope, serthe, and dilate... Right. They are just a threat to the estimating a worldwide peace overall. One that would not have any sort of hegemony of anyone, where nation
just... live, trade, fuck and cooperate on making mankind prosper... more paragraphs of cope seethe and dilate

Still doesn't make the US a threat to black sea merchant vessels. In fact, Russia is scooting around with ships full of stolen Ukranian grain and meeting zero US resistance.

Given the incompetence of the Russian military, Somali pirates probably pose a threat, however.

As for inflation and depression that's Covid, not the war, I thought we were all in agreement that blaming the economic downturn on Putin was silly.
Covid caused none of it. The response to covid did just as the response to the Russian invasion is worsening it. If there was any recovery happening it has been completely stopped and reversed by the failed policy of western leaders when it comes to Russia.
As for the current economic situation, here's the UK market compared to the Russian market right now
The stock market is not reflective of the economic conditions of the majority of the population.
Whatever economic hardships the west is experiencing right now it's nothing compared to what's happening in Russia, and it wasn't the west who sent armies across the border.
The Ukrainian military is 100% funded and trained by NATO members and was actively waging war on ethnic Russians while threatening Russia itself. So yes, the west did send armies to the Russian border and just never expected Russia to call its' bluff. 'the other side is hurting worse' sure rings hollow when you can't afford to feed your kids.

"New footage from the missile strike on the Ukrainian training center "Desna"

Mobilized soldiers were trained in this center. Even Zelensky acknowledged huge losses. According to estimates, the number of dead is more than 300 soldiers"

10 rubles says it was because of yet another retard posting selfies for clout/updoots.

The urban-type settlement of Troitskoye (LNR) was taken under control by the Marines of the Pacific Fleet.

Surprisingly, not all that bright. This is caused not by rouble becoming the world's reserve currency (ha, ha, I wish) but by the fact the only place Russians and the Russian government can spend dollars is unironically Aliexpress. Or Egypt/Turkey/Thailand during a vacation.

Everything Russia was importing that could be paid for in dollars is now sanctioned, so that currency is practically a dead weight with next to zero demand, and the exchange rate reflects it.

So Aliexpress it is. I think I will treat myself to a "catacomb and dragon imitation bosom".

Oh okay, so now the narrative is that Putin IS to blame for the economy, honestly not buying it, a 100 billion there and a 100 billion there is nothing compared to the trillions wasted on locking everyone inside
Also while the stock market is not a perfect window into the economic situation of Bob and Boris, it's hell of a lot better than simply saying "everything if fine, nothing to see here" while your corporate sector is on fire
Also how did we go from a foreign nation sending an army across the border to stating it's the equivalent to sending guns and training an army that stayed within its own borders?

I think Russia's major problem regarding modernization has more to do with brain drain overall.
Not exactly brain drain, it's just nobody with a brain goes working there, unless those happy few that find it a calling. Shit pay, questionable work safety and travel restrictions because of secrecy.

Why spend your time welding tanks for $1k if you can weld oil pipes for $3k?

Until recently, Putin did make good, albeit cold and calculated, decisions. He has incredible patience and an excellent poker face, and he genuinely believes in making Russia Great Again (tm), but then he became so paranoid and senile it made Joe Biden look like Albert Einstein in comparison.

The commander of the 36th Marine Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Volynsky (call sign Volyn), left the Azovstal enterprise in Mariupol and surrendered.

Volyn shaved, cut his hair before parting with Kalina

Do you honestly think the US would miss an opportunity to plant a bomb one of such merchant vessels, then blame the explosion on Russia and demand a no-fly zone/the introduction of Polish and Baltic NATO peacekeepers/etc?

Also, Ukraine mined the Black Sea and the Turks have already complained about their mines washing up in the Bosphorus.
"americans will sink random civilian cargo ships in order to make russia look bad!" is the most hilarious vatnik delusion in like the last 300 pages lmao

More hilarious than "Americans will stage a coup in Ukraine and give out cookies to people so they overthrow their Russia-aligned president"? Or "Americans will shake a test tube with God knows what to convince the world there are weapons of mass destruction in a country that had the gall to defy them"?

Oh wait.

Shelling your own countrymen for 8 years straight is state terrorism, treason and genocide.
I am once again pleading with you people to stop calling 18 deaths in the year 2021 a genocide.

The DPR and LPR forces are also backed by Russia. By your own logic Russia did send armies past the Ukrainian borders, as a way to threaten a prospective EU member state.
They didn't expect Europe and the US to call Russia's bluff, and things would go smoothly like in 2014.
"Americans will stage a coup in Ukraine and give out cookies to people so they overthrow their Russia-aligned president"?
I'm sure the Russia-aligned president passing laws against free speech, free press, freedom of assembly, paying thugs to beat protesters and having riot police fire live rounds at crowds had a greater influence in the Ukrainian people's decisions.
But sure, let's look at a token sign of good will through an even more cynical lens and call it bribery.
